Patanjali Samadhi is not Advaitic Self-awareness. Samadhi is not Self-awareness because it is based on the false self (ego).+

Yogic exercises are to great tool to overcome stress and to lead a healthy life but yogic Self-realization is not Self-realization because it is based on a false self (ego).

Sage Sankara says:~ Yoga is not the means of liberation. (p-one thirty-two and thirty-three of his commentary on Brihadaranyakopanishad).

Brihad Upanishad.:~ Even yoga cannot give perfect concentration and the only way to gain it is through philosophical realization.

Manduka Upanishad:~ Yoga can no more succeed than the ocean can be emptied with a blade of grass.

Tattireya Upanishad: ~ There are two different samadhis, philosophic and Sahaja Samadhi, which is the highest in which is in full wakefulness, and then he inquires what is meant by this world, the world is seen in this Sahaja Samadhi. Whereas Yogic or Nirvikalpa Samadhi is just like swoon or deep sleep, where one is unaware of anything, not even the world. (Pages 640,641 and verses 132,133)

Patanjali Samadhi is not Advaitic Self-awareness.   Samadhi is not Self-awareness because it is based on the false self (ego).   Samadhi is Yogi's personal experience hence duality. The Soul, the Self cannot be experienced because it is ever nondual.

In Sutra Bashya and Manduka: - The Samadhi and sleep are identical.

Brihad Upanishad
does not advocate Samadhi.

Yoga can yield duality because everything that one can do or practice becomes a vanishing 'known.' It yields relative truth based on imagination, which is true from the physical standpoint, not non-dualistic truth, which is the ultimate reality.

What happens when thoughts are stilled? It is not the ultimate truth that is found. Thoughtlessness is not wisdom or Gnana. It is only ignorance.

A Gnani imparts Knowledge to others. A Yogi lies in Samadhi like a wooden log so he does not know yogic Samadhi is not wisdom.  Gnani is fully aware of all things, either permanent or perishable and he has realized both permanent and perishable to be consciousness.  Thus, the consciousness alone is real and eternal all else is merely an illusion.

Patanjali yoga is not Atma Gnana, therefore, yoga does not know the highest truth. Yoga is good to give peace and concentration, but only to start reasoning, i.e. thinking again and again to find the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Yogic Samadhi is not a goal, but a means to an end, i.e. Gnana. Samadhi in itself is useless because the mind is withdrawn and there is no memory of it until after it is over and one returns to a waking state. A yogi who attains mind control: is only deep sleep.

Yoga is based on the ego whereas Advaitic wisdom is based on the Soul, the Self. Whatever is based on the ego is a myth and whatever is based on the Soul, the Self Is the ultimate truth.

Gnani does not want to think of the ego, therefore, he does not do or say anything to make himself appear superior to others or to pretend to know more than others.  If a person spends his time in Samadhi, he is not a Gnani, but he is only a yogi. The Gnani is as alert and awake to what is happening to him externally as all other people: he is not a yogi in Samadhi. A yogi does not know the ultimate truth or Brahman because he believes his Samadhi as Brahman. The Gnani has realized the world in which he exists is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.  And consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Brih Upanishad: page 32. "Yoga does not yield truth or liberation."

One who is in Samadhi will not know that this universe as consciousness; therefore, yoga is not the means to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

In Samadhi the yogi knows nothing, and sees no universe; so if there is nothing but blankness. The blankness is not the Advaitic wisdom.

The yogi does not know the nature of the universe. If the universe is not seen in the Samadhi then there is no need to use the word Atman and Brahman.  The yogi is unaware of the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

By shutting his eyes in Samadhi, the yogi does not know the universe, which confronts him. Hence the universe can't be known as the Soul or the consciousness through yoga.

One is in a non-dual condition in deep sleep or Samadhi, One without a second, true, but he did not know it at the time. He says only in the waking experience afterward. Hence, there must be inquiry so that you find nonduality whilst you are awake so that you can see nonduality at the time not afterward. Hence, too the need for inquiring into the nature of the universe and knowing it as the Soul or the consciousness whilst one is awake, and not during sleep or Samadhi.

Remember: ~

Advaitic truth is the ultimate truth.  Yogis, mystics, and religious teachers do not accept the path of wisdom because it pries into the truth, the source, and the validity of the knowledge they claim. Therefore, it is the most difficult part of the study of Advaita.

That is why Sage Sankara said: ~ VC 63- Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation.

The universe in which we exist will not remain a reality when wisdom dawns. The universe is a mere mirage created out of consciousness and there is a conscious awareness of unity in diversity because there is no second thing exists other than consciousness.

Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (Advaitic wisdom) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it. (Gita –Chap- IV-v.2)

In Gita Chap.IV where Lord Krishna says: ~ "This yoga has been lost for ages" The word yoga refers to Gnana yoga, not other yogas: the force of the word this is to point this out.

Lord Krishna describes some of the other yogas but devotes this chapter separately to Gnana Yoga. So, one sees even in those ancient days people did not care for Advaita; they wanted religion; hence Gnana got lost. That is why Krishna calls it "the supreme secret." Krishna points out that yoga must see "Brahman in action.”

Yogic teachings are based on imagination. Yoga cannot give you the truth because it is based on Myth.

Manduka Upanishads: ~ Those who want Brahman will not practice control of the mind.  That is Yoga for duffers. The others will inquire and practice discrimination. (p.231)

Upanishad says Atman the Self is known by Reason alone, by the sharpened and purified intellect. Yet still, people worship Yoga and mysticism as the sole means of attaining Atman.  The illuminations gained by yoga or by trance states are always temporary ones. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

What is the use of saying ‘I AM THIS’ or ‘I AM THAT’ without knowing what is this ‘I’ in actuality?+

What is the use of saying ‘I AM THIS’ or ‘I AM THAT’ without knowing what is this ‘I’ in actuality?

The ‘I-centric’ teachings are limited to the form, not the time and space. The ‘I-centric’ teachings will not help the seeker to reach the ultimate end of understanding.

All the ‘I-centric’ Gurus and their teaching make the seeker hallucinate. Playing with the sentiments and emotions of the seeker makes the seeker remain permanently in the domain of ignorance.

Ornamental words satisfy only an emotional mindset. The words that mean different things to different people are what is behind the words, between the lines that matter.

If you are seeking truth nothing but the truth then you have to discard I-centric Gurus and their teaching to realize the truth hidden by the ‘I’, which is the dualistic illusion.

When a Gnani does not see his body as the body, his ego as the ego, his experience of the world as the world, then he has realized his body, his ego, and his experience of the world as consciousness.

Thus, everything is Soul or consciousness. Thus, there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.

When conviction of the Soul the innermost ‘Self’, grows stronger everything falls into the right slot.

Remember:~

The ‘I’ is not limited to the form, therefore, there is a need to realize ‘what this ‘I’ is in actuality.

The ‘I’ is the mind.

The ‘mind’ is the form, time, and space together.

The form, time, and space together are the universe.

The universe is the waking or the dream.

The waking is a parallel dream

The dream is a parallel waking.

The ‘I’ cannot exist just by itself. The ‘I’ has no separate, independent existence. ‘I’ is dependent on the Soul, the Self for its existence. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

On the Standpoint of the Soul the Self: ~

The ‘I’ is a dualistic illusion or Maya: ~

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the mind is bound to be an illusion.

If the mind is an illusion then the form, time, and space are bound to be an illusion.

If the form, time, and space are an illusion then the universe is bound to be an illusion.

If the universe is an illusion then the waking or the dream is nothing but an illusion.

If the waking is an illusion then the experience of birth, life death, and the world which is present only when the waking experience is present, is bound to be an illusion.

Sage  Sankara says the world is illusory; it includes birth, life, and death, which happens within the world. Thus, the seeker's main aim is to mentally trace the formless substance of the illusion, which is also the witness of the illusion. The formless substance and witness of the illusion (world) is the Atman, and this Atman itself is Brahman. This Brahman cannot be attained by indulging in egocentric religious orthodoxies. The knower of Brahman is Brahmin, not the Brahmin who indulges in priestcraft, which leads one to utter darkness as per Yajur Veda.

Yoga Vasistha:~ "Teachers, interpretations of sacred texts, the force of religious merit--none of these lead to the realization of that Ultimate Truth which is revealed in the clear reflection of the heart, engendered from contact with the good."

Sage Sankara: ~ VC Let erudite scholars quote all the Scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity with the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)

Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

A perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is necessary to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

If people have believed a false thing over millions of years, the length of time does not prove it true.+

Even the arguments that religions have been followed since time immemorial make no difference to them, because if people have believed a false thing over millions of years, the length of time does not prove it true.

All the million years are within the dualistic illusion or Maya because, from the ultimate standpoint, the form, time, and space are merely an illusion.

Religion has nothing to do with the ultimate truth of Brahman. If one is seeking the truth, then he has to be free from all religious beliefs and dogmas.

Religion is based on the ego (you), whereas, the ultimate truth is based on the Soul, the Self.

Whatever is based on the ego is an illusion and whatever is based on the Soul is ultimate reality or Brahman.

Thus, religion has to be bifurcated from spirituality to realize the truth hidden by the illusory form, the time, and the space.

The Advaitic orthodoxy has nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman. The Advaitic orthodoxy considers, the birth, life, death, rebirth, heaven, hell, sin, karma, and the world as a reality, whereas Sage Sankara says the world in which we exist is merely an illusion. If the world is an illusion, then the birth, life, death, rebirth, heaven, hell, sin, karma, and the world, are bound to be an illusion.

Without Sage Sankara, there is no Advaita (non-duality). Since it was mixed up with orthodoxy there is a lot of confusion. Sage Sankara’s quotes (selected verified) are quoted in my blogs and postings to show what Sage Sankara meant and ‘what is blocking the seekers from realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman.

There are so many non-dualistic masters of the East and also from the West who expound on Advaitic or non-dualistic knowledge, but none of them help reach the ultimate end.

According to Advaita Vedanta, the Veda addresses itself to two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the most advanced seeker who seeks to know Brahman.

Thus, the purva mimam. sa, with its emphasis on the karma kanda of the Vedas, is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, the Vedanta, with its emphasis on the jnana kanda, is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

Sage Sankara's commentary to Brahma Sutras shows that the Gnani "should pass through life", not run away from life, and should take a middle course between seeking worldly honor and worldly abasement. (Chap.3.4.50)

Sage Sankara varied his practical advice and doctrinal teaching according to the people he was amongst. He never advised them to give up their particular religion, beliefs, or metaphysics completely; he only told them to give up the worst features of abuse: at the same time, he showed just one step forward toward the truth. Sage  Sankara was extremely precise and careful in his choice of words.

Sage Sankara gave religious, ritual, or dogmatic instruction to the masses, but pure philosophy only to the few who could rise to it. Hence the interpretation of his writings by commentators is often confusing because they mix up the two viewpoints. Thus, they may assert that ritual is a means of realizing Brahman, which is absurd.

Sage Sankara says in the commentary in Vedanta, sutra that what is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.
**
Seekers of truth should not believe blindly in traditional Advaitic orthodoxy without verifying all the facts from every angle.

The orthodoxy has nothing to do with spirituality, which is based on the Soul or Spirit. One has to reflect through reasoning over and over again without getting tired of the process. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

There is no need to convince anyone, because, Path of truth is a personal journey.+

People are immersed in their worldly life trying to solve their worldly problems. religious people are not ready to accept anything other than their religious propagated truth.  There is no need to convince anyone, because,  Path of truth is a personal journey.

Everyone has not got the capacity to know Truth very few have: but some among these few are so sharp that they have only to hear it explained by proper guidance when they grasp it at once. They have only to stabilize their illumination.

Bhagavad Gita says: ~ “Don't unsettle the minds of ignorant by revealing the esoteric truth."

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seekers own work.

Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Among thousands of men, scarcely one strives for perfection; and of those who strive and succeed, scarcely one knows the ‘Self’ in truth.

That is why Jesus said: ~ Do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. (Matthew -7:6)

~ Jesus meant knowledge of Spirit or Knowledge of God or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana or Advaitic wisdom.

Katha Upanishad says: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. (II -23-P-20)

Thus, those who have taken the path of wisdom are chosen ones. The chosen one will get the grace of the Soul the inner Guru.

The path of wisdom is the Soul-centric path, whereas all other paths are egocentric. All egocentric paths are leads to hallucination. One must have an intense urge to realize the truth.

The Soul, the 'Self' reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.

The path of wisdom attracts only those who are in search of truth and they appreciate it greatly. The ignorant are not spiritually matured the receive Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The ignorant indulge in argument and provocation and personal attack, which hinder their own realization of the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Remember

The Seeker himself must do the work of realizing Truth by using his own judgment and reason. Nobody else, no guru can do it for him.

Read, reason, and reflect, again and again, in order to get a firm conviction.

By repeated reading and reflection on my blogs and posts helps the seeker to get rid of all accumulated knowledge, which is blocking his realization of truth.

Reading and reflecting on my blogs and posting is a mental exercise to sow the seed of Advaita. That is the only way to make the egocentric subconscious to the soul- centric.

By reading my posts and blogs often propels the reader into the thinking process. By repeated reading of the words of wisdom on this subject, the inner whirling in subconscious takes place which replaces the old thoughts by accepting the new thoughts.

Perfect understanding removes all sorts of an obstacle in the pursuit of truth. Atmic path is not exchanging of views and question and answer session.

Only through constant repetition words in my posts will make one think differently but it also creates more doubts and confusion in his subconscious and his inner urge to know the truth, even more, intense. It also helps to overcome some of our conditioning, which we have inherited from parental grooming and circumstances.

Repetition of the words assists a seeker to help to focus his attention from form (body) to formless (Soul or consciousness), which is very much necessary in pursuit of truth.

Repetition is an effective tool and has an effect on the subconscious, which is not receptive to receive new truth because it is conditioned to receive only logical conclusions based on ego (you).

Remember:~ Come ye slow, or come ye fast; it is but the Soul, the Advaita that reveals itself at last.

There is nothing to realize other than realizing the universe in which we exist is created out single stuff. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness is real and eternal.

All my blogs and postings are the verified truth. As one goes on reading, all his doubts and confusion will start clearing.

It takes some time to be receptive to Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana because it is the Soul- centric knowledge whereas all accumulated knowledge is egocentric.

I am highlighting all the obstacles in the inner journey and how to overcome these obstacles. All accumulated knowledge is of no use in the path of wisdom.

It is for every seeker, who is in the path of wisdom to realize himself “What is the truth? “and “What is untruth?” to assimilate the Self –Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. My postings are only signposts.

The seeker needs to reflect constantly on the subject until the cobwebs of his doubts and confusion get cleared.

It takes time for the seeker to gain a perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth?’ and ‘’what is untruth?’. It takes time for the Soul, the Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space.

The inner Sage will guide the sincere and serious seeker. The seeker’s sincerity and seriousness leads him to the inner core.

As one keeps reading the old posts and also the new posts, he will find answers for all his doubts and confusion.

As one tries to find answers independently, the inner revelation will start and he will be able to move on your own.

It is the seeker's sincerity and seriousness that will make you reach the ultimate end of understanding and realization.

The seeker's devotion to the goal to realize the truth and perfection will make him acquire the Advaitic wisdom.

Millions are searching for truth, but one in million will realize it. If one is a truth seeker then he one from that million.

The Soul, the ‘Self' revels ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.

It takes time for the seeker to gain a perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’.

It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the 'Self"(truth), hidden by the ignorance(I).: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

People think religion is the stepping stone for Self-realization but it is not so.+

There is a need to bifurcate religion from spirituality. People think religion is the stepping stone for Self-realization but it is not so.
The religion is based on the ignorance and it keeps the seeker permanently in ignorance by hiding the truth with its mythical beliefs and dogmas and superstition. According to Vedas and Upanishads, all religious propagated beliefs are a myth.
Whereas Spirituality is based on the Spirit, which is the cause of the world in which we exist.
As one goes deeper in annals of the history he becomes aware of the fact that the so-called present Hinduism has adopted many things from Buddhism, the religion of Abraham, Jainism, and Islam. If one goes deeper enough he will become aware everything is mixed up and messed up in time.
Sage Sankara endeavored towards establishing Vedic religion overthrowing Buddhism. But even he was not able to avoid the influence of Buddhism. The influence of the revolutionary atmosphere of Buddhism has reappeared in the Advaita of Sage  Sankara. His inability to revive Vedic religion that flourished before the Buddhist revolution in its pure form is discernible.
No one is taken pains to rectify it because; because people have been inherited them, from their ancestors and they think it is blasphemy even to hear anything against their inherited religion and belief. Once one gets involved with the religious class it is the end of the pursuit of truth.
The theistic (orthodoxy) Advaita is based on dualistic perspective but Advaita philosophy is based on the nondualistic perspective. The theistic (orthodoxy) Advaita bifurcated from Advaitic philosophy. The theistic (dualistic) Advaita is meant for the ignorant populace.
Sage  Sankara and Sage Goudpada are independent thinkers other schools of Indian philosophy are mere theologies. Advaitic philosophy is real philosophy. The dualistic philosophy cannot escape the charge of dogmatism.
Advaitic wisdom propagated by Sage Sankara is on non-dualistic perspective.
There is no need to study neither Advaita Vedanta nor Vedas nor Buddhism to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman. It is no use going roundabout way; trace the Brahman.
Philosophy does not begin with the ultimate truth. Ultimate truth has to be proved, not assumed. Hence, so-called philosophers who take Brahman for granted are not philosophers at all.
Lots of Advaitin scholars will teach that all is yourself, but none of them can show that this is so, none has analyzed it scientifically, and none can prove it. The rational proof is required so that one arrives at knowing the ultimate truth or Brahman i.e. Gnana. Theirs is mere dogma, parrotism, repetition of what they read in scripture. Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.
Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but the liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.
Sage Sankara ’says:~ Gnana is common to all religions.
There is nothing like One Gnana for a Hindu and another for a Christian.
The entire philosophy of Sage Sankara can be summed up in the following statement:-
Brahma satyam, jaganmithya, jivobrahmaivanaparah: - Brahman alone is real; the world is non-real, and the individual ‘Self’ is essential, not different from Brahman.
This is the quintessence of Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

If one remains inactive like a yogi in samadhi he can never realize the ultimate truth of Brahman or God in truth.+

If one remains inactive like a yogi in samadhi  he can never realize the ultimate truth of Brahman or God in truth.

Lord Krishna says: ~ "This yoga has been lost for ages "- The word yoga refers to Gnana yoga, not other yogas.

Panchadasi, P.509 v, 109, shows the impossibility of yoga arriving at a successful end to its practices.

The notions of Self-realization through yoga are not philosophic. Every yogi who shuts himself in a cave is not thereby freed from thinking.

Yoga can lead only to temporary peace because the world is subject to change. Only Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana can yield Advaitic awareness in the midst of the form, time, and space.

Buddha gave up yoga after practicing it for six years. He saw it could not yield truth.

Buddha gave up his austerities of yoga as impossible and useless. Thus, Buddha got enlightenment only after he gave up Yoga. (Page.70/71 "Buddhism In Translation” by Warren)

Yogis say, ‘I am not the body’ but they believe in body-based practices. The Soul is bodiless because it is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.  Without the body where are the chakras and where is the kundalini.

Yogi thinks the Self is within his body. The Soul, the Self is not within the body because it pervades the form, time, and space.

All the yogic theories are limited to form, time, and space whereas the Soul, the Self is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Kundalini is based on the physical form. Kundalini requires the physical form.  Without the physical form, there is no kundalini. The physical form is not the ‘Self’.  The ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the   ‘Self’ the form, time, and space is merely an illusion. Thus, all the theories based on form, time, and space are bound to be illusory theories based on the false self (form) within the dualistic illusion.

A yogi cannot attain realization because he thinks his body to be the body and the world to be the world and fails to see them as consciousness and thinks his experience of Samadhi is because of his individual effort. The individual experience is limited to waking experience is merely an illusion.

Thus even his Samadhi is also limited to the waking experience, which is merely an illusion. He thinks the thoughtlessness is Samadhi but thoughts are of individuality. Thoughts disappear even in deep sleep. Therefore, deep sleep is not wisdom.

If one thinks thoughtlessness is Samadhi and Samadhi is Brahman then anyone gets knowledge of Brahman by taking sleeping pills or hemp.

Brih Upanishad: page 32:~  "Yoga does not yield truth or liberation."

One who is in Samadhi will not know that the universe in which he exists as consciousness; therefore yoga is not the means to Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Hence, there must be an inquiry so that you find nonduality whilst you are awake so that you can see nonduality at the time not afterward. Hence, too the need for inquiring into the nature of the universe and knowing it as the Soul or the consciousness whilst one is awake, and not during sleep or Samadhi.

Advaitic truth is the ultimate truth.  Yogis, mystics, and religious teachers do not accept the path of wisdom because it pries into the truth, the source, and the validity of the knowledge they claim. Therefore, it is the most difficult part of the study of Advaita.

Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (Advaitic wisdom) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but the philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it. (Gita –Chap- IV-v.2)

Lord Krishna describes some of the other yogas but devotes this chapter separately to Gnana Yoga. So one sees even in those ancient days people did not care for Advaita; they wanted religion; hence Gnana got lost.

Remember: ~

The path of religion, the path of yoga, and the path of wisdom were intended for different classes of people. The wisdom is for the advanced seekers of truth. It deals with the nature of the ultimate Truth and Reality. It is meant for superior aspirants who have an inner urge to know the truth which is beyond form, time, and space.

Advaitic Gnana has nothing to do with religion and yoga. Religion and yoga are dualistic. Yoga is not Advaitic wisdom.

Sage Sankara says: ~ Yoga is not the means of liberation (page 132-133 - Commentary on Brihadaranyakopanishad.

In Sutra Bashya and Manduka: ~ “The Samadhi and sleep are identical.

Brihad Upanishad: ~ does not advocate Samadhi.

Sage Sankara
in the commentary to "Brahma Sutras: ~ " "The highest beatitude is not to be attained by Yoga." (Sacred Books of East Series page 298 Vol.1.) And he also says Samadhi is the same as sleep (p.312)

~ this indicates that yoga is not the means to ‘Self-realization. And Yogic Samadhi is not nondual Self-awareness.

The notions of Self-realization through yoga are not philosophic. Every yogi who shuts himself in a cave is not thereby freed from thinking.

Yoga can lead only to temporary peace because the world is subject to change. Only Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana can yield Advaitic awareness in the midst of the illusory form, time, and space.

Meher Baba: ~It is all made so complicated, and books on yoga have made it still more complicated. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
