It is not you who have to be free because the Self is not you but the Self is the Soul, which is hidden by the dualistic illusion or Maya.+

It is not you who have to be free because the Self is not you but the Self is the Soul, which is hidden by the dualistic illusion or Maya.

That is why Sage Sankara says:~ VC:~65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it, and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the ‘Self’, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the three states, observed and experienced. A person viewing the worldview will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same worldview. Each one interprets the worldview that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The person sees the worldview based on the ego and, therefore, experiences birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees worldview as consciousness and he is fully aware that there is no second thing exists other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Without the Advaitic wisdom, your knowledge is egocentric. Egocentric knowledge is based on a dualistic perspective. Self-knowledge is Soulcentric. Egocentric knowledge is knowledge of ignorance. The Soulcentric knowledge of truth hidden by ignorance.

When the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness then what is the use of discussing the birth, life, death, and the world because the one which is born, lives and dies is not the ‘Self.

The Soul, the Self is birthless and deathless because it is an ever-formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

You are the birth entity. Your existence is limited to form, time, and space. Your religion, your religious Gods your beliefs, your religious rituals and prayers, your race, and your nationality have nothing to do with the Soul, the ‘Self’ because the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Like an ornament made from gold is Gold, that which is born out of the Spirit (God) is Spirit. Like gold is a permanent thing, in ornaments made of gold, similarly, the universe is born out of the Spirit, which is Spirit in its essence.

Only through Advaitic wisdom, it is possible to realize the God hidden by the veil of ignorance. Ignorant people take God for granted without realizing what God in actuality. Realization of what God is necessary to become real.

When ignorance vanishes through Advaitic wisdom then the world in which you exist which you think as reality becomes an illusion.

Sage Goudapada’s rational exposition of Advaita:~ Whatever is seen, whether external or internal, whether by the ordinary persons or yogis, is unreal.

Thus, whatever you have seen, known, believed, and experienced as a person within the waking experience is bound to be an illusion created out of consciousness. Thus, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone, is real and eternal.

Consciousness is ever-present. Without consciousness, the world, in which you exist ceases to exist. Consciousness is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny consciousness, because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. Consciousness is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs.

Consciousness is everything. Thus, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
