Advaitic Gnana is opposed to common sense because common sense is egocentric and dualistic whereas Advaitic wisdom is Soulcentric and nondualistic.+

The light of the Soul, the ‘Self’ awakens the deep-seated understanding which is an inherent quality of the Soul, the ‘Self’.

Advaitic Gnana is opposed to common sense because common sense is egocentric and dualistic whereas Advaitic wisdom is Soulcentric and nondualistic. Common sense is habitual and imitative.

Common sense is very much required in practical life within the practical world. But in pursuit of truth sharpness to grasp and receptiveness Soul centric intelligence is very much necessary.

When one takes the world is both real and unreal he is bound to have all confusion. The individual experience of the birth, life, death, and the world are mere a dualistic illusion created out of consciousness.

The individual experience is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but it is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

When our approach is more practical, and we stuck with the reality of practical life within the practical world, we take it as real, but deeper self-search reveals that the ‘Self’ is not individual because it pervades everything and everywhere in the universe, which appears as waking or dream.

Thus, the ‘Self’ is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the ‘Self’ is the formless substance and witness of the three states. That formless substance and witness are consciousness.

Thus, the consciousness alone is real and eternal and the universe, which is in the form of the mind, appears as the waking or the dream (duality) and disappears as (non-duality). : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
