The Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is based on the cause of the matter, which is Spirit.+

Recent science has killed the atomic theory and matter has vanished with it. Hence, modern dualists fear science and try to avoid it.

The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul or consciousness.

Max Planck ~Father of quantum physics says: ~ Science has no answer to it. Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature. And that is because, in the last analysis, we ourselves are part of the mystery that we are trying to solve.

The Spirit is not separate from the matter because the matter is merely an illusion created out of the Spirit. In reality, Spirit and matter are one, in essence.

The Spirit is present in the form of Athma, which is present in the form of consciousness.

What is the relation between the Spirit and matter? 

The matter is present in the form of the mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as a waking or dream. 

The matter is merely an illusion created out of the Spirit. Thus, the matter is nothing but the Spirit in its essence. 

Thus the world in which we exist is nothing but matter. And the world in which we exist is nothing but an illusion created out of the Spirit. 

Till one thinks the Self is an individual separate from the world he will remain in the domain of ignorance. 

The Self is not an individual because the Self is not ‘you’. You are bound by birth, life, death, and the world, whereas the Soul, the Self is birthless and deathless because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Intellectuality is based on individuality. Individuality is a falsehood because the Soul, the Self is not an individual because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. 

The formless Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all three states as their formless substance and the witness.

In the realm of truth, the formless substance and the witness are one in essence. The essence is consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is real and all else merely an illusion because there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
