There is nothing to discuss or argue in the Atmic path.+

There is nothing to discuss or argue in the Atmic path. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is knowledge of God in truth one without the second. Where there is no second thing then what is there to argue and discuss.

Then why waste time discussing, which yields no fruits. The citations from scriptures are not proofs. The ultimate truth has to be proved without the scriptures.

The ultimate truth is the universal truth and it does not belong to any religion. Religion causes diversity in unity, whereas, the ultimate truth brings unity in diversity

I quote quotations in my blogs and posts to show them as authoritative only after deeper verification proving the truth and pointing out that the texts teach the same thing. If I quote them before having demonstrated the truth, then it is scholasticism.

It is not that one should pore over the ancient scriptures.

There is no need to study first, and then realize. One has to realize first, then only he will know ‘what is truth’ and ‘what is untruth’. One has to make his discoveries through the process of rational thinking and reasoning.

Self-knowledge cannot be attained by the study of the scriptures and intellectual understanding or by bookish knowledge. Therefore, there is no use in studying the scriptures and other scriptures to acquire non-dual wisdom. That is why Bhagavan Buddha rejected the scriptures, and even Sage Sankara indicated that the ultimate truth lies beyond religion, the concept of God, and the scriptures.

Sage Sankara himself says: ~ VC 59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures, consisting of many words are a dense forest that merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

Sage Sankara said:~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works, nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way.

Stick to Sage Sankara’s advice and drop what is not needed to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana.

Remember:~

What is the use of discussing about religion and religious God within the unreal world? Instead, one has to find how this world is unreal (illusion).

In the Atmic discussion, the body and the world are merely an illusion. Then why discuss the religion (body), when the Self is not the body.

When the expression itself is illusory the evolution within the illusory expression is bound to be an illusion.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the three states, observed and experienced. The commoner viewing the three states will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same three states. Each one interprets the three states that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego and, therefore, experiences birth, life, karma, death, and the world as reality whereas a Gnani sees everything as consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.

Thus, all the egocentric (religious) adulteration has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman to realize the truth propagated by the ancient Sages of the truth. The sages of truth are not religious gurus or saints.

Sage Sankara himself had often said that his philosophy was based on Sruti, or revealed scripture. This may be because Sage Sankara addressed the ordinary man, who finds security in the idea of causality and thus in the idea of God—and Revelation is indispensable to prove the latter. He believed that those of superior intelligence, have no need for this idea of divine causality, and can, therefore, dispense with Sruti and arrive at the truth of Non-Dualism by pure reason. :~ Santthosh Kumaar
