Sage Sri, Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify.+*****

Sage Sri, Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify. Advaita is not a theory but Advaita is the rational truth, the scientific truth, and the ultimate truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and the Gurus or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it.
Sage Sri, Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is nothing to do with the religion. Thus, all his religious teaching which is meant for the ignorant populace has to be bifurcated from his wisdom.
Sage Sri Sankara is the foremost among the Sages of truth which India has produced. He was the expounder of the Advaitic wisdom, which is the knowledge of the beyond the form, time and space.

Sage Sri Sankara was a Gnani for the Seekers of truth and Jagadguru for the ignorant populace dynamic personality and a stupendous moral and spiritual force. His grasping and elucidating powers knew no bounds. He was a great Sage and was a powerful spiritual magnet.

Sage Sri Sankara’s scholarly erudition and his masterly way of exposition of intricate philosophical problems have won the admiration of all the philosophical schools of the world at the present moment.

Sage Sri Sankara was an intellectual genius, a profound philosopher, an able propagandist, a matchless preacher, a gifted poet, and a great religious reformer. Perhaps, never in the history of any literature, a stupendous writer like him has been found. Even the Western scholars of the present day pay their homage and respects to him. Of all the ancient systems, that of Sage Sri Sankara will be found to be the most congenial and the easiest of acceptance to the modern mindset.

There is no place for a personal God (Ishvara), Sage Sri, Sankara’s wisdom because the personal Gods imply duality.  The duality is an illusion. Thus, the ideas of personal Gods are part of the illusion; because of the curtain of ignorance man worships personal Gods within the illusion.

Sage Sri, Sankara’s supreme Atman is Attriubuteless (without the Gunas), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without attributes) and Akarta (non-agent). He is above all needs and desires.

Sage Sri, Sankara:~ "This Atman is Self-evident. This Atman or Self is not established by proofs of the existence of the Self. It is not possible to deny this Atman, for it is the very essence of he who denies it. Atman is the basis of all kinds of knowledge. The Self is within, the Self is without, the Self is before and the Self is behind. The Self is on the right hand, the Self is on the left, the Self is above and the Self is below”. Satyam-Jnanam-Anantam-Anandam is not separate attributes. They form the very essence of Atman. Atman cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. Atman cannot be distinguished from any other than Atman, which is present in the form of the Spirit.

The objective world-the world of names and forms-has no independent existence. The Atman alone has real existence. The world is only Vyavaharika or phenomenal.

There is not one branch of knowledge which Sage Sri Sankara has left unexplored and which has not received the touch, polish and finish of his superhuman intellect.

Every seeker of truth has very high reverence for Sage Sri Sankara and his wisdom. The loftiness, calmness, and firmness of his mind, the impartiality with which he deals with various questions, his clearness of expression of the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space all these make us revere the Sage Sri, Sankara more and more. His wisdom will continue to live as long as the sun shines.

Sage Sri, Sankara taught that it was only through direct knowledge of Advaita that one could be enlightened.

Sage Sri Sankara wisdom can be summed up in the following words: ~

Brahma Satyam Jagat Mithya,

Jeevo Brahmaiva Na Aparah

Atman alone is real; this world is unreal.

Just as the snake is superimposed on the rope, this world in which you exist is superimposed on the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

If one gets the knowledge of the rope, the illusion of the snake will vanish. Even so, if one gets knowledge of the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, the world in which you exists will become unreal.

Remember

Sage Sri, Sankara is Jagadguru for the ignorant populace and Brahma Gnani for the seeking world.
Sage Sri, Sankara’s wisdom is nothing to do orthodox belief systems. Sage Sri, Sankara is the only sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth. The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth without dogma.
Religion is nothing to do with Advaita. Advaitic sect belongs to religion. Advaita is pure spirituality. Advaitic sect is dualistic is nothing to do with the Advaitic truth which is hidden by the illusion. Mixing religion and spirituality is like mixing oil and water.
Religion is regarded as sacred and real by the common people, by the wise as false and by the politicians as useful.
The religion and its sects are based on the form, time, and space whereas the Spirituality is based on the Atman the formless, timeless and spaceless existence.
Religions hold the birth, life, death and the world as a reality. From the ultimate standpoint, the world in which we exist is an illusion created out the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The seeker must know the difference between religion and spirituality. Many people think the religion itself as spirituality. Spirituality leads to discovering the truth which is hidden by the form, time, and space.
Advaita is universal. Advaita is the nature of the Soul, the innermost Self. The world in which you exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Advaitic wisdom.
Sage Sri, Sankara’s wisdom is nothing to do with the orthodox belief systems. Some philosophers in the past dissented from this interpretation of Vedanta philosophy, holding that the incarnated Souls were separate from the Divine Essence and only finally merged with it after the cycles of birth.
All these theoretical philosophies are based on the imagination based on the false ‘Self’ (ego or you) within the false experience (waking).
Orthodox people argue that Sage Sri, Sankara had a Guru. Sage Sri, Sankara himself’ was Guru.
Yes, for orthodox people he is Jagadguru but for the seeker of truth, he is a Brahma Gnani.
Sage Sri, Sankara gave religious, ritual or dogmatic instruction to the ignorant populace but Advaitic wisdom only to the few who could rise to it. Hence the interpretation of his writings by commentators is often confusing because they mix up the two viewpoints. Thus, they may assert that ritual is a means of realizing Brahman, which is absurd.

The traditionally religious people are so entangled in orthodox religiosity; it is very difficult for them to free themselves from narrow-minded prejudices and dogmas and superstitions. These educated orthodox people are more ignorant than illiterate. They strongly stuck to their inherited orthodox baggage meant for the ignorant populace. Even though their own Sage has said that orthodoxy meant for the ignorant populace they ignore and they are like blind led by another blind follow the inherited blind belief.
Even Swami Vivekananda was Ramakrishna Paramahansa disciple. Swami Vivekananda himself’ said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you; none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”
There are two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the more advanced seeker who seeks to know the ultimate truth or Brahman. The Guru and Guru paramparas are meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, there is no need to follow any parampara and follow any Guru those who wish to realize the truth which is beyond the form, time, and space. We should not mix religion with spirituality because the religion is based on the ego and spirituality is based on the Soul. The religion is concerned with its paramparas, not truth whereas spirituality is concerned only with the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space. Religion is not spirituality.
Sage Sri, Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread." (Select Works of Sage Sri, Sankara" also his commentary on Brihad)
Thus, the above passage proves that all those who were the sanyasin robes are wearing it for the sake of bread belongs to the religion; they are nothing to do with the ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. There is no need to criticize and condemn the Gurus, yogis, and swamis because they are needed for the welfare of ignorant mass in the dualistic world.
So, he wore a Guru's robe only for the sake the ignorant. So he was identified as Guru with parampara by religious people. For the truth seekers, Sage Sri, Sankara is a Brahma Gnani.
Sage Sri, Sankara gave out what was of most use to the greatest number of people. Therefore, in the commentaries on the Upanishads, such as the Manduka, he gave the highest the nondual message of the identity of Atman and Brahman, revitalizing the philosophy and practice of Advaita, while in the commentaries on the Brahmasutra he gave lesser teaching, positing both higher and lower Maya and higher and lower Brahman (Ishvara) to explain creation for those of lesser intellects until they were ready for the highest truth.

Sage Sri, Sankara: ~Knower of the Atman (A Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man." Viveka Chudamani (2) -Stanza 539.
When Sage Sri, Sankara says the Knower of the Atman (A Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man.
Thus, it proves that the religious Gurus and yogis are not Gnanis, because, they identified themselves as holy people.
On Advaitic perspective, A Gnani never identifies himself’ as a Guru or a Yogi or someone disciple. The one who accepts himself as a Guru or someone’s disciple is not a Gnani.
For the seekers of truth need not identify Sage Sri, Sankara as a holy man or Jagadguru but a Brahma Gnani.
Ashtavakra Samhita: ~ "The man of knowledge (Gnani), though living like an ordinary man, is contrary to him and only those like him understand his statement.
All the Guru Parampara is for the religious people. There is no need for a Guru who wants to tread the path of wisdom.
The Guru is useless so long as the ultimate truth is unknown, and Guru is equally useless when the ultimate truth or Brahman has already been known.

A Guru is needed in religious and the yogic path. There is no need of a Guru to acquire ‘Self’-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Every Guru or yogi thinks himself as Gnani and he is competent to teach Advaitic Gnana.+*****

All the Gurus of the east and west introduced their own theories and teaching and started playing with the sentiments and emotions of the innocent seekers for the sake of acquiring wealth.
No Guru or yogi of the past and present teaches the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sri, Sankara. They preach the cocktail of different ideology, theories, religion and philosophies in the name of Advaitic wisdom

Advaitic Truth is very simple. It is very difficult to realize because it is lost in the dualistic knowledge we inherited, collected from different sources, different masters’ different gurus, different philosophies, different ideologies, different books, and scriptures. All this accumulated knowledge is a mere hill of Garbage.

Nothing is needed other than realizing the knowledge of the single stuff. The single stuff is the cause of the world in which we exist. And that single stuff itself is causeless. That single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the innermost Self. Knowledge of the Soul, the Self, is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Atma Gnana is knowledge of God. Realizing God in this very life is your goal. God-realization itself is real worship.

Perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed. Only an intense urge to know the truth, humility sincerity and patience are the only qualifications to realize God in this very life and in this very world.

All the Gurus and yogis scriptural scholars are ignorant in the guise of Gnanis.

Remember:~

Every human being will have a certain level of intellect enough to grasp the truth hidden by ignorance but the egocentric knowledge has made them non-thinkers. Advaitic truth is simple and anyone reading it with keen interest will be able to understand it to the core.
When the seeker realizes the Self is not ‘I’ but the ‘Self is hidden by the ‘I’ then whatever is based on the ‘I’ is bound to be an illusion. That is the world in which you exist itself is an illusion.
The world in which you exist based on the ‘I’. The Advaitic wisdom frees the Soul, the 'Self' from the bondage of the ‘I’. Without ignorance, the Soul alone shines as the ultimate reality or Brahman or God.

Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Among thousands of men scarcely one strives for perfection; and of those who strive and succeed, scarcely one knows the ‘Self’ in truth.

The path of wisdom attracts only those who are in search of truth and they appreciate it greatly. The ignorant are not spiritually matured the receive Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The ignorant indulge in argument and provocation and personal attack, which hinder their own realization of the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Skill is required in every field to drive a car or ride a bicycle, preliminary training is required before a person is allowed to handle the vehicle but in the field of spirituality, the science of the Spirit, the Self, is the most difficult of all sciences.

Sage Sri, Sankara says: - VC-47- All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.

Sage Sri, Sankara says - VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.

Yoga Vasistha says: ~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.

Every Guru or yogi thinks himself as Gnani and he is competent to teach Advaitic Gnana because ~

He has mastered the scriptures.

Or

He has studied under a famous Guru

Or

He has performed all religious rituals and leading orthodox oriented life and he has accumulated good karmas.

Or

He has got a Ph.D. on world philosophy from a famous university

Or

He is a scientist but he is well versed in Vedas.

Or

He is the disciple of the famous Guru

Or

He has done penance is the Himalayas.

Or

He has stayed without food for years

Or

He has renounced worldly life and takes sanyasa

Or

He has done lots charity

He is well-versed in tantra and he got enlightenment through sex

Or

His Guru given him the power of transmitting enlightenment to others

Or

He is a hat yogi

None of the above qualifies to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. From the Advaitic perspective, all these things have no value.

This ‘I’ know’ attitude is a great obstacle to acquiring Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The seeker must get rid of this ‘I know attitude’ to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Humanity has to awaken to the reality of its true existence by realizing the world in which the humanity exists is merely an illusion created out of the consciousness through Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana frees the Soul, the innermost Self from the cage of the dualistic illusion.

People dwelling in the ignorance, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round by various blind beliefs and tortuous paths and practices, like the blind led by the blind.

The truth is very simple, but it is very difficult to grasp because of ignorance. You have to only realize the world in which you exist is created out of single clay. And that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.

Thus, you and your body and the world in which you exist are nothing but consciousness because they are merely an illusion created out of consciousness. Perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seekers own work.

It is necessary to reflect on the same truth again and again till it becomes a reality. One needs to constantly reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is what. Words are needed until one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’. People need reading and hearing the words of wisdom to think reason and reflect deeply and reach the ultimate end.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Remember:~

The seeker should not bother about finding the meaning of what is written in the scriptures. The scripters are not necessary to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.
The scriptures are meant for the ignorant populace. Scriptures have no value for the seeker of truth.
That why Sage Sri, Sankara said: ~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) VivekaChudamani v 56, pg.- 25
Katha Upanishad says: ~ Fools dwelling in darkness but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go  round and round, by various tortuous paths, like a blind led by the blind. (Ch II-5 P-14)

Even Upanishads clearly says: ~

Katha Upanishad 1:2:23: ~ The Soul cannot be realized through hearing a scholarly explanation of the discourses, not even by the intellect.

Katha Upanishad 1:3:6: ~Through the knowledge of the Soul, God, one is pure and clean constantly.” Neither by reading the books nor by taking a bath at the holy place has one become pure. Inner purity is possible when one remains in constant touch with the Soul. Constant Soul-Consciousness is real purity.
Kena Upanishad 2:4: ~ When it is known through every state of cognition, it is rightly known, for (by such knowledge) one attains life eternal. Through one's own 'self' one gains power and through wisdom, one gains immortality.
Kena Upanishad 2:5: ~ If here one knows it, then there is the truth, and if here one knows it not, there is a great loss. Hence, seeing the Real in all beings, wise men become immortal on departing from this world.
Manduka Upanishad 1:2:8: ~Remaining in the fold of ignorance and thinking “we are extremely wise and learned,” the fools with boastful nature ramble about like the blind led by the blind alone.”
Manduka Upanishad 3:2:3: ~ “The weak and timid cannot realize the Self. Self-Realization is not possible through intellect or hearing the spiritual discourse. "
Manduka Upanishad 3:2:3: ~ The Soul cannot be realized by the weak and timid.

I am quoting the scriptures and sages of truth to show are saying the scriptures are not necessary to realize the Advaitic truth. The seeker should not stick to scriptures try to find the meaning of the scriptural citation. It is a waste of time. The same time can utilize to realize the truth beyond the form, time and space.: : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The ‘I’ is the physical awareness.+*****

The Soul is the real Self; therefore, the Self is not 'I'. 'I' is non-existent in reality. The Soul, the Self is hidden by the 'I'. The 'I' is the whole universe. The universe is the dualistic illusion or Maya.  The Knowledge of the Soul is Self- Knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The ‘I’ is the physical awareness.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present.

When the mind is present then only there is awareness of the form, time and space.

When the mind is absent then the form, time and space are absent.

If the form, time and space are absent then the mind is also absent.

Remember: ~

If the form, time and space are present then only the universe is present.

If the form, time and space are absent then the universe also is absent.

Remember: ~

The universe appears only when the waking appears.

The universe disappears when waking disappears.

Remember: ~

The ‘I’ appears along with the waking and ‘I’ disappears along with the waking.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the Soul the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10: ~ “If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take it as real because of some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such a mindset. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.

You and the world in which you exist belongs to physical awareness. Physical awareness
is not Self-awareness.

Realize you, the world in which you exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge.
When firm conviction of Self-knowledge becomes firmer in subconscious then Self-awareness arises on its own.

When the Soul, the 'Self’ ‘remains in its own awareness: ~

What is this body?

What is the ego?

What is this world?

What is 'I'?

What is duality?

What is existence, nonexistence, unity or duality?

What needs us there to say more?

Noting from the Soul because whatever seems to emanate from it, is non-different from itself. There is no second thing other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. One should not mistake Self (Soul) for the ‘I’.

Those who assert the world is a reality, are still in elementary stages of the preliminary analysis. The world is a reality within the waking experience, but the waking experience is merely an illusion. The same way the dream world was a reality within the dream experience. The dream became unreal when the waking took place. The same way the waking becomes unreal when Advaitic wisdom dawns.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar
