All
the Gurus of the East and West introduced their own theories and teachings and
started playing with the sentiments and emotions of the innocent seekers for
the sake of acquiring wealth.
No Guru or yogi of the past and present teaches
the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara. They preach the cocktail of different
ideologies, theories, religions, and philosophies in the name of Advaitic wisdom
Advaitic Truth is very simple. It is very
difficult to realize because it is lost in the dualistic knowledge we inherited,
collected from different sources, different masters’ different gurus, different philosophies,
different ideologies, different books, and scriptures. All this accumulated
knowledge is a mere hill of Garbage.
Nothing is needed other than realizing the
knowledge of the single stuff. The single stuff is the cause of the world in
which we exist. And that single stuff itself is causeless. That single stuff is
the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the Self.
Knowledge of the Soul, the Self, is Self-knowledge or
Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Atma Gnana is knowledge of God. Realizing God in
this very life is your goal. God-realization itself is real worship.
A perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.
Only an intense urge to know the truth, humility sincerity, and patience are the
only qualifications to realize God in this very life and in this very world.
All the Gurus and Yogis scriptural scholars are ignorant in the guise of Gnanis.
Remember:~
Every human being
will have a certain level of intellect enough to grasp the truth hidden by
ignorance but the egocentric knowledge has made them non-thinkers. Advaitic
truth is simple and anyone reading it with keen interest will be able to
understand it to the core.
When the seeker
realizes the Self is not ‘I’ but the ‘Self is hidden by the ‘I’ then whatever
is based on the ‘I’ is bound to be an illusion. That is the world in which you
exist itself is an illusion.
The world in which
you exist is based on the ‘I’. The Advaitic wisdom frees the Soul, the 'Self' from
the bondage of the ‘I’.
Without ignorance, the Soul alone shines as the
ultimate reality of Brahman or God in truth.
Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Among thousands of men scarcely one strives for
perfection; and of those who strive and succeed, scarcely one knows the ‘Self’
in truth.
The path of wisdom
attracts only those who are in search of truth and they appreciate it greatly.
The ignorant are not spiritually mature the receive Self-knowledge or Brahma
Gnana or Atma Gnana.
The ignorant indulge in argument provocation and personal
attack, which hinder their own realization of the ultimate truth or
Brahman.
Skill is required in
every field to drive a car or ride a bicycle, preliminary training is
required before a person is allowed to handle the vehicle but in the field of
spirituality, the science of the Spirit, the Self, is the most difficult of all
sciences.
Sage Sankara says:
- VC-47- All the effects of
ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which
arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.
Sage Sankara says - VC-162- There is no
liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the
philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification
with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.
Yoga Vasistha says: ~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had
by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good
works: it is attained only through inquiry inspired by the company of wise
(Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner
light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.
Every Guru or yogi thinks of himself as Gnani and he is competent to teach Advaitic Gnana because ~
He has mastered the
scriptures.
Or
He has studied under
a famous Guru
Or
He has performed all
religious rituals and led an orthodox-oriented life and he has accumulated
good karmas.
Or
He has a Ph.D. in
world philosophy from a famous university
Or
He is a scientist
but he is well versed in Vedas.
Or
He is the disciple
of the famous Guru
Or
He has done penance
in the Himalayas.
Or
He has stayed
without food for years
Or
He has renounced
worldly life and takes sanyasa
Or
He has done lots of charity
He is well-versed in
tantra and he got enlightenment through sex
Or
His Guru gave him the power to transmit enlightenment to others
Or
He is a hat
yogi
None of the above
qualifies to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. From the
Advaitic perspective, all these things have no value.
This ‘I’ know’ attitude
is a great obstacle to acquiring Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
The seeker must get rid of this ‘I know attitude’ to realize the truth, which
is beyond form, time, and space.
Humanity has to
awaken to the reality of its true existence by realizing the world in which humanity exists is merely an illusion created out of consciousness through
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Self-knowledge or
Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana frees the Soul, the Self from the cage of
the dualistic illusion.
People dwelling in ignorance but thinking of themselves as wise and erudite, go round and round by
various blind beliefs and tortuous paths and practices, like the blind led by
the blind.
The truth is very
simple, but it is very difficult to grasp because of ignorance. You have to
only realize the world in which you exist is created out of a single clay. And
that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of the
consciousness.
Thus, you and your body
and the world in which you exist are nothing but consciousness because they are
merely an illusion created out of consciousness. A perfect understanding of
‘what is what’ is needed.
A Gnani can point at
the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.
It is necessary to
reflect on the same truth again and again till it becomes a reality. One needs
to constantly reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is
what. Words are needed until one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’.
People need to read and hear the words of wisdom to think reason reflect
deeply and reach the ultimate end.
It takes time for the
seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is
untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the Self to wake up from the
sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one to realize the truth, which is
beyond the form, time, and space.
Remember:~
The seeker should not bother about
finding the meaning of what is written in the scriptures. The scripters are not
necessary to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.
The scriptures are meant for the ignorant populace. Scriptures have
no value for the seeker of truth.
That is why Sage Sankara said: ~ Neither by
the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does
liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are
one in no other way. (1) VivekaChudamani v 56, pg.- 25
Katha Upanishad says:
~ Fools dwelling in darkness but thinking themselves
wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like a
blind led by the blind. (Ch
II-5 P-14)
Even Upanishads clearly say: ~
Katha Upanishad 1:2:23: ~
The Soul cannot be realized through hearing a scholarly explanation of the
discourses, not even by the intellect.
Katha Upanishad 1:3:6: ~
“Through the knowledge of the Soul, God, one is pure and clean constantly.”
Neither by reading the books nor by taking a bath at the holy place has one
become pure. Inner purity is possible when one remains in constant touch with
the Soul. Constant Soul-Consciousness is real purity.
Kena Upanishad 2:4:
~ When it is known through every state of cognition, it is rightly known,
for (by such knowledge) one attains life eternal. Through one's own 'self' one
gains power and through wisdom, one gains immortality.
Kena Upanishad 2:5: ~
If here one knows it, then there is the truth, and if here one knows it not,
there is a great loss. Hence, seeing the Real in all beings, wise men become
immortal on departing from this world.
Manduka Upanishad 1:2:8: ~
“Remaining in the fold of ignorance and thinking “we are extremely wise and
learned,” the fools with boastful nature ramble about like the blind led by the
blind alone.”
Manduka Upanishad 3:2:3: ~
“The weak and timid cannot realize the Self. Self-realization is not possible
through intellect or hearing the spiritual discourse.
"
Manduka Upanishad 3:2:3: ~
The Soul cannot be realized by the weak and timid.
I am quoting the scriptures and
sages of truth to show that the scriptures are not necessary to realize
the Advaitic truth.
The seeker should not stick to scriptures and try to find the
meaning of the scriptural citation. It is a waste of time. At the same time can be utilized to realize the truth beyond form, time, and space.: : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
