Santthosh Kumaar: ~ Dualists  Gurus believed in a plurality of minds or selves and also in Prakriti matter. The Dualist Sage thought ultimately existed in the form of particles similar to our atomic theory. But recent science has killed the atomic theory and matter has vanished with it. Hence modern dualists fear science and try to avoid it.

The dualist thinkers ’ arguments are based on false Self (ego or the waking entity) and false experience (mind or waking or dream or universe) to show the weakness of the position of the dualistic viewpoint. They are at their wits end to explain.

Existence cannot be a cause and effect at the same time, from the point of view of the dualists, but deeper Self-search shows that existence is no two and causality can’t rise at all. The dualistic theory says that whatever was in the cause was also in the effect. They say that the gold brick, the gold medal, the gold ornaments --are in the seed--the gold. Deeper Self-search reveals that, if cause and effect are one what is the difference between the two?

In the realm of truth, there is neither unwisdom nor ignorance; neither bondage nor liberation. There is but one pure consciousness. The logic holds good for the practical purpose in practical life (waking). Soul-centric reasoning leads to nondualistic Self-awareness.

Consciousness is existence absolute, awareness absolute. The Existence of absolute means that consciousness is not unreal or nonexistent. And it is not unconsciousness. Nothing positive can be stated about consciousness.

The Soul, the innermost Self is the One without a second. There is not the least shadow of multiplicity in the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

What is it that becomes the waking experience (duality)? ‘What is it that becomes the dream (duality)?’ and ‘What is it that becomes the deep sleep (nonduality)?’

The seeker of truth has to strive for direct realization of the Soul, the Self, through wisdom and avoid losing precious time and effort losing him in philosophical studies.

MAX PLANCK -Father of quantum physics says:~ Science has no answer to it. Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature.

And that is because, in the last analysis, we are part of the mystery that we are trying to solve.

Until scientists become the seekers of the truth of their existence, the truth will not be revealed. The truth of the whole cannot be got under the microscope.

When all their invention fails to yield the truth they have to use their reason to reach the ultimate core of their existence.

Both modern science and religion offer hypotheses and theories but there is one vital difference--science begins with facts which it collects; religion begins with fancies. Science evolves its hypotheses from such facts, religion from fancies.

Science declares that oxygen combines with hydrogen to give water. And it also declares oxygen is protons or electrons. But in pursuit of truth, the whole physical existence (universe or mind) is considered an illusion, and science and its inventions, which are based on physical existence are limited to physical existence. 

The truth is hidden by the physical existence but it is beyond the physical existence. Science demands physical proof. But the physical proof is part of the illusion. Hence, science cannot go beyond physicality because the truth cannot be traced from laboratory conditions. Deeper Inquiry, analysis, and reasoning are required if one wants to push their quest deeply enough.

The modern man appears to have acquired admirable knowledge in various fields of inventions in the physical world. However, what man has acquired is limited to the physical world not beyond. the man has to admit that he cannot investigate the truth of his own existence through scientific inventions because it is possible only through the deeper thinking process. 

Above all, acquired physical-based knowledge and power do not assure man of lasting happiness in the worldly life and peace evades him at every moment.

Sage Sankara says:~ VC- 56- Neither by Yoga, nor by Sankhya, nor by work, nor by learning, but by the realization of one's identity with Brahman (consciousness) is Liberation possible, and by no other means.

The physical base dualistic base. The duality is not a reality from the ultimate standpoint. therefore, whatever is based on the dualistic perspective is bound to be a falsehood.

in reality, there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness. Thus, all these theories based on the false self (ego) hold no water from the ultimate standpoint.

There is a need for facts of physical proof in scientific invention, whereas, in pursuit of truth, the proof has to be grasped mentally and realized. Therefore, the truth is realized only by a few who take this mental pursuit. “Whatever facts revealed, which is uncontradictable has to be accepted as truth.

So long as you are in the realm of duality, you have to explain how or why one thing came from another; and contradictory views are expressed. But when the Advaitin shows there is no second, there is no production, and the contradictions do not arise at all when the ultimate thing is Brahman(consciousness alone.

Dualists say matter existed along with God, who took it and made it into the world like the potter with clay. But when you go deep into it, you must ask how do you know that these two things existed together and who created God? Reason gives no ultimate causation; therefore, we drop God, First Matter, etc.

Determinism in classical physics: We can measure the energy in a cause and in an effect, i.e. that a certain thing produces a particular effect. Newton said that all happenings are completely determined and with certainty. This means that man’s will is not free, and that materialism is true. 

The quantum theory has upset this theory of determinism and says that certainty has vanished, and probability or averages have replaced it. This weakens or demolishes the law of causality. Science can now describe only, not explain. Explanation depends on causality, on the "how." The description merely says what happens during the process.

Nobody knows nor can anybody ever know how a seed becomes a tree. We know only one antecedent fact--the planting of the seed--and one consequent fact--the growth of the tree. Hence, we know no causes, only antecedents.

Dualists saw this difficulty and said, as we can’t know let us use faith from this point onwards. Advaitic Sages has solved the difficulty.

The one who realizes the Matter and the Spirit are one, in essence, enters the Advaitic awareness

The multitude of so many different theories, opinions, and fancies that prevail are merely ideas based on the dualistic perspective. Whatever is based on the dualistic perspective is bound to be falsehood because reality is based on the nondualistic perspective.

The duality is based on the matter whereas nonduality is based on Spirit. The matter is nothing but an illusion created out of the Spirit. Therefore, the Spirit alone is real and eternal. Thus, whatever is based on the Spirit is real and eternal. The is based on the matter is bound to be an illusion.

Remember:~ 

The ‘I’ is nothing but the matter.

The mind is nothing but matter.

The universe is nothing but the matter.

The waking is nothing but matter.

Remember:~

The Soul is the Spirit.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the matter is an illusion created out of the Spirit.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the mind is an illusion created out of the Spirit.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the universe is an illusion created out of the Spirit.

From the standpoint of the Soul, waking is an illusion created out of the Spirit.

The one who realizes the Matter and the Spirit are one, in essence, enters the Advaitic awareness in the midst of the dualistic illusion.

Remember:~

If you limit the Self to 'you' alone Self-realization is an impossibility, because, the Self pervades the whole universe.

Erwin Schrödinger, physicist: ~ Consciousness is never experienced in the plural, only in the singular. Not only has none of us ever experienced more than one consciousness, but there is also no trace of circumstantial evidence of this ever happening anywhere in the world. If I say that there cannot be more than one consciousness in the same mind, this seems a blunt tautology — we are quite unable to imagine the contrary...

‘WHO AM ‘I’?’ inquiry is inadequate and useless to unfold the mystery of the universe.  

When the Self is genderless then it is not He/She. Therefore, using the word ‘I AM’ for the Self is erroneous.

Deeper Self-search reveals the fact that the Self is not the ‘I’, therefore ‘WHO AM I? will not help to unfold the truth beyond form, time, and space.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar
