It is foolish to say I AM THIS or I AM THAT without knowing the 'Self 'hidden by the dualistic illusion or Maya (I).+

When the Self is not you but the Self is the  Soul then what is the use of saying I AM THAT. It is foolish to say I AM THIS or I AM THAT without knowing the 'Self 'hidden by the dualistic illusion or Maya (I).

 

Realize Soul, the Self is not you. So you are not that to say I AM THAT. You are a reality within the universe but the universe is merely a dualistic illusion or Maya (I). 

 

The Soul, the Self not an entity or Identity with the dualistic illusion or Maya. Your existence is a reality within the dualistic illusion or Maya. 

So what is the use of saying I AM THAT without knowing the 'Self' hidden by the dualistic illusion or Maya? 

Sage Sankara says: ~   A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya can be reached by getting rid of ignorance.

Sage Sankara: ~ “VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman (Consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought. 

When you finally realize the ‘‘Self’ ‘is not you but the ‘‘Self’’ is the Soul then you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. 

Remember:~

Holding the Self as an individual is a great error. Those who propagated Self as an individual and say I AM THAT - are still in the domain of ignorance. 

Until you remain in the domain of the ‘I’ you will not be able to realize the ‘Self’ hidden by the ‘I’. The ‘I’ itself is the mother of ignorance.

When the Self is not you but the Soul then why you are holding the Self as you and saying I AM THAT.

When you are not that what you are saying I AM THAT.  you are an individual whereas the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness is not individual because it pervades everything and everywhere in the universe.

You are born, live, and die within this world whereas the Self is unborn eternal. 

When the Soul, the Self is formless then why you are saying I am not the body.

When you and the world in which you exist have nothing to do with the Soul how can you relate to the Soul, which is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. 

All the Advaitic teachings of the Gurus of the East and West are based on the individual. All the teachings based on the individual have nothing to do with Sage Sankara’s wisdom, 

All the teachings based on the individual are based on the religious and yogic perspectives, therefore, they are dualistic.  

All the Advaitic teaching of the Gurus of the East and West did not go deeper in the investigation they are stuck up with WHO AM ‘I’? and I AM THAT- which misled the seeking world. 

The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the source of the universe in which the universe appears.  From the standpoint of the Soul, the universe is merely a dualistic illusion or Maya. 

In Atmic-awareness, there is no ignorance. Without ignorance, the dualistic illusion or Maya loses its reality.  There is a conscious awareness of oneness in the dualistic illusion or Maya.    

All individual activities are happening within the universe, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya.  

The individual has nothing to do with the Soul, the Self.  If the individual has nothing to do with the Soul, then the individual experience of the birth, life, and death that happens within the universe has nothing to do with the Soul. 

All the scriptures based on the head and heart (Chidākāsha) have nothing to do with Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom. 

Sage Sankara’s wisdom is based on inquiring into the nature of the universe.  Who Am ‘I’? and I AM THAT- teachings are based on the individual has no value, because, the individual is a reality within the dualistic illusion or Maya. 

Sage Sankara: ~ “VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms is nothing else but Brahman (Consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought. 

Sage Sankara: ~ VC- 63- "Without knowing and examining the external world, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world. 

After verifying through deeper inquiry if one finds the world is the reality within the illusion then he cannot again say the world is not an illusion. 

If one is frightened to accept the world is an illusion (waking) then he is unfit to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.  

Those who are stuck with the reality of the world are stuck with the reality of the individual experiences of birth, life, and death, which take place within the unreal world. Thus the pursuit of truth is for those who have the courage to accept reality as it is, that is the reality without form, time, and space. 

When you finally realize the Self is not you but the Self is the Soul then you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. 

Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-47- All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the non-self. 

Till you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you and you are born in it afterward ignorance will prevail as a reality. Till ignorance is there the universe prevails as reality. 

Sage  Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation. 

Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-awareness. By holding onto theories, one remains in the realm of duality.  

You must mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search. Finally, when you become aware that, your ego, your body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of dualistic illusion or Maya.:~Santthosh Kumaar 

Fortunate is the seeker who does not lose himself in the labyrinths of philosophy but realizes the truth hidden by the 'I'.+

The intricate maze of the philosophy of different schools claims to clarify matters and reveal the truth, but in fact, they create more confusion where no confusion exists.

To understand anything, there is a need for perfect understanding and assimilation of the truth.

Why worry about the physical body, ego, logic creation, creator, saints, and sages, and the world, which are part and parcel of the illusion.

People who yearn for spiritual or Brahmic truth will not find it through intellectualism? Intellectual truth is an individual truth. All conceptual divisions were invented by philosophers by their excessive analysis.

Fortunate is the seeker who does not lose himself in the labyrinths of philosophy but realizes the truth hidden by the 'I'.

Assuming or speculating and coming to a logical conclusion on the base of the physical self (waking entity or ego), is intellectual. Therefore, intellectually is egocentric. Egocentricity is the greatest obstacle in grasping the non-dualistic truth.

There is no need to study the philosophies of Berkeley, Kant, Hume, and other Western and Eastern philosophers; they are not the means to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

They are in fact an obstacle in the pursuit of truth because they are based on the physical self(waking entity or ego).

There is no necessity to study the philosophy of any great thinkers to ensure firm realization.

There is no need for any philosophy to verify the truth of the Self. All that is intellectual wealth, is useful in explaining doubts and difficulties if others raise them if he, himself encounters them in the course of thinking. But to attain realization, all that is not necessary.

One wants fresh water to drink, but he does not require all the water of the whole lake to quench his quest.

Philosophical Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved. Lots of pundits will teach “Who am ‘I’”? but none have deeply analyzed it scientifically, None can prove it.

Rational proof is needed in pursuit of truth so that one can arrive at knowing truth i.e. Wisdom; theirs is mere dogma, parrotism, a repetition of what they read in scripture.

The philosophical argument leads nowhere. If the philosopher says, Self is formless “another will reply, "No, the 'Self' has a form! If one says "his adopted philosophy has a higher value than all other philosophy” another will say, "No, that is lower and there are many philosophies higher than that." It is impossible to get anywhere with such talk because both sides are merely assuming and imagining.

the wisdom will not dawn just by holding some philosophical declaration as truth, the truth has to be proved, not assumed.

People who take philosophies for granted are mere scholars who have mastered philosophy without verifying the validity and parroting their philosophical knowledge, not the truth.

People think philosophical mastery is wisdom, but it is a mere play of words. Philosophical knowledge is not a means to non-dualistic wisdom.

Remember:~ 

The seeker has to mentally grasp the true Self or consciousness, which is beyond the reach of words and thought, and it is the formless substance and witness of all three states.

The means to the attainment of Self-knowledge is discrimination between things permanent (real or nonduality) and impermanent (unreal or duality), and the urge for spiritual freedom.

What is the use of studying philosophy?

What is the use of worshiping Gods and Gurus?

What is the use of and performing religious rituals?

What is the use of observing silence?

What is the use of singing devotional hymns?

Advaitic Wisdom will not dawn, without realizing the world in which you exist is created out of single clay. That single clay is the consciousness. The knowledge of the single clay leads to Oneness. Oneness means unity in diversity.

That is why Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many Gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but the liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

There is no need to study philosophy.

There is no need for worshiping Gods and Gurus.

There is no need for and performing religious rituals.

There is no need to observe silence.

There is no need to sing devotional hymns.

To get Self-realization.

Remember:~

Tripura Rahasya: ~ Second-hand knowledge of the Self-gathered from books or Gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that. Realize yourself, turning the mind inward. (18: 89)

By observing nature you will not find the truth you are seeking for but by realizing the unreal nature of the universe the truth you are seeking will be revealed on its own.

Chandogya Upanishads: ~ “This universe comes forth from Brahman and will return to Brahman. Verily, all is Brahman. A person is what his deep desire is. It is our deepest desire in this life that shapes the life to come. So let us direct our deepest desires to realize the Self.

Ashtavakra Gita: ~ “The universe rises from the Soul, the Self like bubbles from the sea. Thus know the ‘Self’ to be One and in this way enter into the state of dissolution."

Sage Sankara said: ~A.A~ 88. When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman (consciousness), and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman?

The ‘Self’ is not the mind. The mind is present in the form of not the world in which we exist. The world appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (non-duality).

The ‘Self’ is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Consciousness pervades everything and everywhere in all three states. Thus, diversity is created out of single stuff. That stuff is consciousness.

Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman because there is no second thing that exists other than consciousness.

From the standpoint of the Soul, the form, time, and space are one, in essence.

In Spirituality, God means the ultimate truth or Brahman. Self–realization is truth-realization. Truth-realization is God-realization.

Sage Sankara: ~VC~ if the universe is true, let it then be perceived in the state of deep sleep also. As it is not at all perceived, it must be unreal and false like dreams.

That is why Sage Sankara says: ~ “Brahman is the truth the world is unreal everything is truly Brahman and nothing else has any value.

If you are seeking the truth then do not waste time finding a Guru and becoming his slave. The Gurudom belongs to the religious and yogic path and it has nothing to do with the Advaitic path.

Upanishads:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - Ch II-5 P-14)

There is no need for a Guru, to know you and your Guru, and the world in which you exist is created out of single clay and that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Knowledge of that single stuff is the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Gnana is given neither from outside nor from another person.

There is no need to follow anyone. There is no need to practice anything but perfect understanding and assimilation of ‘what is what’ leads to realizing the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

The Soul the ’Self’ reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study the Scriptures, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~ then why indulge in studying the scriptures.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study philosophy, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman

~then why indulge in studying philosophy.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge in rituals, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman

~then why indulge in rituals.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge in yoga, to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman

~then why indulge in yoga.

Sage Sankara says:~ the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani)

~ then why stick to a Guru who is not a Gnani.

Sage Sankara says ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation.

~then why indulge in other types of meditation.

Those who tell you that Brahman is unity, that you can get it only by intuition, that you should not reason, you should not question or inquire, are deluding you. Verification must come by thought.:~Santthosh Kumaar

You have to study the book of the universe carefully and find and realize God hidden by it.+

All your accumulated knowledge is egocentric garbage. All the egocentric meditation will not lead you to a soulcentric reality.

By visiting gurus and their ashrams, ignorance will not vanish. Attending sathsanga and retreat nothing is gained. 

All the religious scriptures and holy books are irrelevant -- God's greatest book is just in front of you.

That is why Sage Sankara says you must first know what is before you. If you cannot know that, what else can you know or understand? If you give up the external world in your inquiry, you cannot get the whole truth. 

You have to study the book of the universe carefully and find and realize God hidden by it. 

All religions claim that their books are not man-made? Hindus claim that the Vedas are Aporsheya: not made by man but revealed by God himself; and Sanskrit is the divine language, not human.

All religions have the same type of claim. Muslims say the Koran has descended from God, and so with Jews and Christians. Everybody is trying to claim that their book is the sacred book and nobody bothers to look at the real divine book.

This is what the real Veda, the real Koran, the real Bible is. This is the book, and all other books are man-made. Only this universe is the book that is authored by God because God is hidden by the universe. 

The universe is the real Veda, the real Koran, the real Bible.  The universe is the book, and all other books are man-made.

Only when you open the book of the universe the God hidden in the book will be revealed.  When you finish reading the book of the universe then the universe will become an illusion and God alone prevails as the ultimate reality.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress. 

Remember:~ 

You are also part of the divine book of the universe! And whatever you have seen, known, believed, and experienced as an individual is part of it. 

 What is there to discuss argue and exchange opinions? If one is seeking truth there is no need to discuss no need to argue but read and think and reason deeply the truth will start revealing on its own. Be an independent thinker. Do not accept anything without verification the seeker should not argue and waste his time. The argument will not yield the truth. 

Only the intellectuals argue to exhibit their intellectual wealth. The intellectual argument is based on ego. The egocentric intellectuality is limited to form, time, and space.

The truth you are seeking is based on the Soul. The Soul is beyond the form, time, and space. Thus, what is the use of egocentric argument in the soulcentric discussion? 

That is why Bhagavan Buddha said: ~ Believe nothing because a wise man said it, Believe nothing because it is generally held. Believe nothing because it is written. Believe nothing because it is said to be divine. Believe nothing because someone else said it. But believe only what you, yourself judge to be true

Advaitic Wisdom consists in knowing the truth, that everything (mind or physical existence) is consciousness.

Freedom (ultimate truth) is always there yet one does not know it. But those whose reason is turned away from physicality and who have attained the serenity of the Soul or consciousness, the Self, are quite near to realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman. 

Ashtavakra: ~ Diamonds are not many; only pebbles and rocks are so common. A single diamond is enough. 

Sage Sankara says:~ VC- 58. Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar but are no good for Liberation.

59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.

60. The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest that merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.

Without the scriptures, the seeker has to think rationally and realize the truth. 

Remember:~ 

Intellectuals argue, if everything is consciousness, how can one give up anything? Can you give up anything? These types of questions are speculation based on the waking entity (ego), which is the false self within the false experience.

Without knowing the ‘Self is not the form but the ‘Self’ is formless it is impossible to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space. 

All their speculation is limited to the domain of form, time, and space whereas the truth is beyond form, time, and space. They are incapable of understanding and assimilating truth, which is the ever-formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. they refuse to verify and they want the truth on their own terms.

The experience he went through was real to him; though that may not be real from the absolute point of view.

Sage Sankara makes a distinction between the dualistic view and the non-dualistic view of the universe.  

Advaitic wisdom is independent of religion and yoga, which are egocentric. Sage Sankara himself the Saguna Brahman or a personal God is only a part of the dualistic illusion or Maya and the Nirguna Brahman is the only reality and has nothing to do with religion.  

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. A Gnani views the universe (practical life within the practical world) differently from the ignorant view of the same universe (practical life within the practical world). Each one of them interprets the universe he sees in terms of his existing knowledge.   The Gnani sees his body, his ego, and his experience of the world as merely an illusion created out of consciousness whereas the ignorant sees his body as body, his ego as ego, and his experience of the world as world. 

Thus experiencing the birth, life, death, and the world within the dualistic illusion or Maya with the illusory Self has to be an illusion.

The illusion is created and sustained and finally dissolves as  Soul or consciousness, which is the Self. Since there is no second thing other than the Soul or consciousness.  The Soul or consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.  

The one who has realized this truth for this illusion is a passing show because he is fully aware of the fact that his body, his ego, and his experience of the world are consciousness.

The practical people's approach is more practical, and they are stuck with the reality of the practical life within the practical world, they take it as real whereas Gnani has the firm conviction that:-

Soul or Consciousness is the witness that experiences the action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that illuminates everything in a theatre, revealing the master of ceremonies, the guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart, the light shines to reveal their absence.

What is not the consciousness (formless) in the experience of diversity (universe or waking)?  The waking and the dream cease to exist without consciousness. The seeker, seeking and his destination all are one in essence.:~Santthosh Kumaar 

The dualistic illusion or Maya hides the Soul, the Self. Realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Why you are saying I AM THAT when the Self is not you but the Soul is hidden by the ‘I’. 

You are saying I AM THAT within the world in which you exist. The world in which you exist is the dualistic illusion or Maya.  What is the use of saying I AM THAT within the dualistic illusion or Maya? 

The dualistic illusion or Maya hides the Soul, the  Self.  Realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. 

The dualistic illusion or Maya is present in the form of the ‘I’.  The ‘I’ appears and disappears. The ‘Self is not the ‘I’. The Soul, the ‘Self’ is always present and is hidden by the ‘I’.

You have nothing to do with the Soul, the Self. The world in which you exist has nothing to do with the Soul, the Self.

The one who is born lives and dies in this world is ‘you’. The Self is not you but the Self is the Soul because the Soul is unborn eternal.  

You and the world in which you exist are limited to the domain of form, time, and space.  

From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the form, time, and space are merely an illusion. If the form, time, and space are an illusion then the ‘I’ is an illusion. 

If the ‘I’ is an illusion then the universe is merely an illusion. If the universe is an illusion then the experience of birth, life, and death is merely an illusion. 

The Soul, the Self hidden by the illusion. It is hidden by the illusion because the Soul is the cause of the illusion and it, itself is uncaused.  

Perfect understanding of ‘what is needed to realize the truth, which is beyond the ‘I’. 

What is the use of finding out ‘who you are?’ It is an undeniable fact that you are the birth entity born in this world. 

You think you are an individual separate from the world.  You think the world existed prior to you and you are born in it but you are unaware that you and your experience of birth, life, death, and the world are a reality within the dualistic illusion or Maya. The dualistic illusion or Maya is present in the form of the ‘I’.

Advaita is the treasure hidden by the Dvaita. Advaita is the Soul, the Self, and Dvaita is the ‘I’.  

Advaita is present in the form of consciousness. Dvaita is present in the form of the universe.
