Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19: ~ Everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman.+

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God in truth) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19: ~ Everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman.”

Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the ‘Self’ in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the Self. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)

Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of the true nature of the Universal Essence, which is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

Nothing has to be accepted as God other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Atman is Brahman means the Soul alone is God. Atman is an Advaitic God. God is Advaita.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman or God is in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself’.

Sage Sankara proved the existence of Athma, which is Brahman or God by declaring Atman, is Brahman.

Brahman is God. From the standpoint of Athma, the world is merely an illusion.

When Upanishads and Vedas declare that, “God is in the form of the Athma, and God is indeed Athma itself” then why accept another God in place of the Athma or worship other than the Athma.

Sage Sankara: ~ “VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms is nothing else but Brahman (Consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of human thought.

The universe is the product of ignorance. The ignorance is present in the form of the ‘I’.

Sage Sankara says: ~ VC-47 All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the non-self.

Till you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you and you are born in it afterward ignorance will prevail as a reality. Till ignorance is there the universe prevails as reality.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.

Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-awareness. By holding onto theories, one remains in the realm of duality.

You have to mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search. Finally when you become aware of the fact that, your ego, your body, and the world are one in essence then there is Self-awareness in the midst of duality. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The chicken is in the egg and the egg is in the chicken. The tree is in the seed and the seed is in the tree.+

The chicken is in the egg and the egg is in the chicken. The tree is in the seed and the seed is in the tree. The same thing that was told by the Vedas was repeated by Saint John (10-38)? 

Father is in me and I am in Father. Thus, the Father (Soul) is our immediate, neighbor- love thy neighbor. Therefore, one has to love the Soul, the Self to become one with the formless Spirit, which is the creator, sustainer, and dissolver of the world (duality). 

Thus, the Spirit alone is the creator and creation. From the perspective of the Spirit, there is neither the creator nor the creation. There is only oneness, which is the nature of the Spirit, which is God.

Jesus said: ~"Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find it, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all." (Gospel of Thomas 2)

Jesus said: ~” Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. (The Gospel of Thomas - Saying 5)

The Bible says: ~  God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in Spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)

Yajurveda – chapter- 32: ~   God is Supreme Spirit.

Vedas and Upanishads confirm the Soul, the   ‘Self', is present in the form of the Spirit or consciousness.

If God is the formless spirit, then how does man know God created the world? There is no proof. If man had seen God creating the world, he could admit it, but how could he have seen God before he came into existence? (i.e. were created).

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the   ‘Self’. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. 

From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

The Spirit is present in the form of consciousness. Everything is consciousness. All the moments are within the dualistic illusion. 

Whatever happens within the dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion created out of the consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is real and all else is merely an illusion. : ~ Santthosh  Kumaar

If people have believed a false thing over millions of years, the length of time does not prove it true.+

Even the arguments that religions have been followed since time immemorial make no difference to them because if people have believed the false thing over millions of years, the length of time does not prove it true. All the million years are within the dualistic illusion because from the ultimate standpoint, the form, time, and space.

Religion has nothing to do with the ultimate truth of Brahman. If one is seeking the truth, then he has to be free from all religious beliefs and dogmas. 

Religion is based on the ego (you), whereas, the ultimate truth is based on the Soul, the innermost Self. Whatever is based on the ego is an illusion and whatever is based on the Soul is ultimate reality or Brahman. 

Thus, religion has to be bifurcated from spirituality to realize the truth hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

The Advaitic orthodoxy has nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman. The Advaitic orthodoxy considers, the birth, life, death, rebirth, heaven, hell, sin, karma, and the world as a reality, whereas Sage Sankara declares the world in which we exist is merely an illusion. If the world is an illusion, then the birth, life, death, rebirth, heaven, hell, sin, karma, and the world, are bound to be an illusion.

Without Sage Sankara, there is no Advaita (non-duality). Since it was mixed up with orthodoxy there is a lot of confusion. Sage Sankara’s quotes (selected verified) are quoted in my blogs and postings to show what Sage Sankara meant and ‘what is blocking the seekers from realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman. 

There are so many non-dualistic masters of the East and also from the West who expound on Advaitic or non-dualistic knowledge, but none of them help reach the ultimate end.

According to Advaita Vedanta, the Veda addresses itself to two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the most advanced seeker who seeks to know Brahman. 

Thus, the purva mimam. sa, with its emphasis on the karma kanda of the Vedas, is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. However, the Vedanta, with its emphasis on the jnana kanda, is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

Sage  Sankara's commentary to Brahma Sutras (Chap.3.4.50) shows that the Gnani "should pass through life", not run away from life, and should take a middle course between seeking worldly honor and worldly abasement.

Sage  Sankara varied his practical advice and doctrinal teaching according to the people he was amongst. He never advised them to give up their particular religion, beliefs, or metaphysics completely; he only told them to give up the worst features of abuse: at the same time, he showed just one step forward toward the truth. Sage Sankara was extremely precise and careful in his choice of words.

Sage Sankara' gave religious, ritual, or dogmatic instruction to the masses, but pure philosophy only to the few who could rise to it. Hence the interpretation of his writings by commentators is often confusing because they mix up the two viewpoints. Thus, they may assert that ritual is a means of realizing Brahman, which is absurd.

Sage  Sankara says in the commentary in Vedanta, sutra that what is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.

 

Seekers of truth should not believe blindly in traditional Advaitic orthodoxy without verifying all the facts from every angle. The orthodoxy has nothing to do with spirituality, which is based on the Soul or spirit. 

One has to reflect through reasoning over and over again without getting tired of the process. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The ‘I’ is not the expression of the fullness of consciousness.+

All Gurus glorified the ‘I’ in the past. People got emotionally stuck with their Gurus worshipping them and got entangled with studying the life and happenings of their Guru when their Gurus was alive. They forgot their main goal of discovering the truth of their true existence. This following Gurudom trend is still continuing. Yoga Vasistha says: ~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.
There is no need to condemn Gurus, but there is a need to highlight how they become an obstacle in realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman.
Swami Vivekananda said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”

There are two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and more advanced seekers who seek to know the truth beyond form, time, and space.

The Gurudom is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way.

The Atmic path is meant for those who wish to go beyond the domain of form, time, and space.

The Guru is useless so long as the ultimate truth is unknown, and the Guru is equally useless when the ultimate truth or Brahman has already been known.
A Guru is needed in the religious and the yogic path. There is no need for a Guru to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
The search for the truth of our true existence ends in the discovery of the Soul, the ‘Self’. When the form, time, and space are created out of a single stuff then there is no division in consciousness.

The Soul is the fullness of consciousness without the division of form, time, and space.

The Atmic path is straight. One travels from ignorance to wisdom by perfect understanding of ‘what is what’.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the division within consciousness.
It is erroneous to identify the Soul, the Self as 'I' or 'I AM' because, the Soul, the Self is not 'I' or I AM’. The Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ is that witness of the 'I'.
The ‘I’ is not the expression of the fullness of consciousness.
The ‘I’ is ignorance.
The ‘I’ is the cause of experiencing the dualistic illusion as a reality.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the experience of birth death and the world.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the universe.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the form, time, and space.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the three states.
Without The ‘I’ there is no division within consciousness.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the mind.
Remember:~
Without The ‘I’, it is the fullness of consciousness.
Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth death and the world.
Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.
Without the ‘I’ there is no dualistic illusion.
The ‘I’ is the cause of the mind.
Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time, and space.
Without The ‘I’ there is no universe.
People try all kinds of paths and practices to get Self-realization. Realizing the Self’ ‘is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is ‘Self’-realization. Consciousness is the cause of the world in which you exist and it, itself is uncaused.

Without the ‘I’ there are no three states.
Consciousness is pure, flawless, and full, beyond form, time, and space. Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Consciousness is beyond all limitations of form, time, and space. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

You exist because of the universe. Without the universe, you cease to exist.+

You exist because of the universe. Without the universe, you cease to exist.  For you, the universe is a reality because you are born in this universe and you are living in this universe and one day you are going to die in this universe. 

You have to study the nature of the universe carefully and find and realize its falsity. You must first investigate how this universe came into existence. 

If you cannot know that, what else can you know or understand? If you give up investigating the universe in your inquiry the truth hidden by the universe will not be revealed.

That is why Sage Sankara: ~ VC~.63- "Without knowing and examining the universe, one can’t know the Truth, as the idea that the external world exists, won't go. It can go only by an inquiry into the nature of the external world. 

Sage  Sankara says: ~ “What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.  You are also part of the divine book of the universe! And whatever you have seen, known, believed, and experienced as an individual is part of it.

The universe has appeared along with you and it disappears along with you.  The universe is the product of ignorance. Ignorance is present in the form of the ‘I’.

Until you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you and you are born in it afterward ignorance will prevail as a reality. Till ignorance is there the universe prevails as reality.

When this universe is merely an illusion why you are sticking to it. One without Self-knowledge does not obtain liberation from the illusory even if he lives for a million years. 

The Self is not you but the Self is the Soul hidden by the universe. The universe is the dualistic illusion or Maya. You are part and parcel of the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The universe, which appears and disappears, is the only form and shape created out of consciousness and nothing else. 

Remember: ~ 

All the religious scriptures and holy books are irrelevant -- God's greatest book is just in front of you. God in truh is hidden by the universe.  

Only when you open the book of the universe the God hidden in the book will be revealed.  When you finish reading the book of the universe then the universe will become an illusion and God alone prevails as the ultimate reality.  

That is why Sage  Sankara says you must first know what is before you. If you cannot know that, what else can you know or understand? If you give up the external world in your inquiry, you cannot get the whole truth. 

You have to study the book of the universe carefully and find and realize God hidden in it.   All religions claim that their books are not man-made? Hindus claim that the Vedas are Aporsheya: not made by man but revealed by God himself; and Sanskrit is the divine language, not human. 

All religions have the same type of claim. Muslims say the Koran has descended from God, and so with Jews and Christians. Everybody is trying to claim that their book is the sacred book and nobody bothers to look at the real divine book.

This is what the real Veda, the real Koran, the real Bible is. This is the book, and all other books are man-made. Only this universe is the book that is authored by God, because, God is hidden by the universe. 

The universe is the real Veda, the real Koran, the real Bible.  The universe is the book, and all other books are man-made.

Jesus’s version of Nonduality or Advaita.+

Jesus said: ~ Do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. (Matthew -7:6)

Jesus meant the Knowledge of the Spirit or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana (pearls) should not be given to the ignorant populace (pigs).

Jesus really say? To the multitude, he said, “God is in heaven; try to go there,” and to reach that end he said to overcome certain temptations and sufferings.

To his followers, he said, “God is everywhere; try to see Him.” and gave explanations to that effect.

To the close circle of apostles, he said, “God is in me and in you too,” and revealed this to them.

Why did Jesus say different things? Owing to the time and the persons, according to their readiness to listen and understand. What Jesus meant was to leave all and follow him; that means to know him, see him, and experience him.

The teachings that are being followed by Christians are not the real teachings that Christ gave. The priests have altered his words, added to his teachings, and spoiled them.

Jesus said: ~ Seek and ye shall find. Knock the doors shall open to you.

Gospel Thomas Logian 22: - Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.”

They said to him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”

Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”

Santthosh Kumaar: ~ This above passage is Jesus’s version of Nonduality or Advaita. When one realizes mind (matter) and the Soul (Spirit), the Self, are one, in essence, there is no place for duality. 

Without the duality, the universe ceases to exist.  Without the universe, your existence within the universe is merely an illusion because there is scope for two because everything is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness or Spirit.

Till one thinks he is an individual separate from this world he remains in the realm of the duality. Duality is the product of ignorance. 

When the Advaitic wisdom dawns, then the ignorance vanishes. When ignorance vanishes, then the duality never remains as a reality.

God is not physical. God is present in the form of the Spirit. The Spirit is the cause of the Universe and the Spirit itself is uncaused.

From the standpoint of the Spirit, the form, time, space, and name are merely an illusion. The Spirit alone is real and all else is an illusion. In reality, Spirit (God in truth) and matter (the world in which we exist) are one.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Until you hold the ‘Self ‘as the ‘I’ you will remain in the domain of ignorance.+

‘I’ itself is ignorance without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance. Until you hold the ‘Self ‘as the ‘I’ you will remain in the domain of ignorance. 

‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self. 

'I’ is ignorance.

‘I’ is the duality.

‘I’ is form, time, and space.

‘I’ is the universe.

‘I’ is the waking.

‘I’ is the dream.

‘I’ is the illusion.

But remember:~

‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time, and space.

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion.

Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10: ~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I'. If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18) 

It is time to discard the ‘I’. Never use the word the ‘I’ or I AM for the Self.: ~ Santthosh Kumaar
