People who are stuck with the thought and the thinker will not be able to cross the realm of form, time and space+*****

People who are stuck with the thought and the thinker will not be able to cross the realm of form, time and space.  It is their accumulated intellectual knowledge making them judge, decide and conclude logically.  Logic can be applied for practical purposes in practical life but it is no use in pursuit of truth.  Deeper thinking and understanding are needed in pursuit of truth.

The thought is the tool in waking or dream. One needs to think to beyond form, time and space to unfold the mystery of the mind or the universe.  The thought rises to the physical entity within the waking or dream. Without waking or dream the thought will not arise. It is no use of tracking the source of the thought instead traces the source of the mind. The mind is in the form of the universe. And the universe appears as waking or dream.

The seeker has to indulge in deeper self-search and verifies and realizes the fact that, the mind is not within the brain, but man and his experience of the universe are within the mind, he will not be able to cross the threshold of duality.  Seeker also has to realize and come to firm conviction after verifying all the facts that-- the mind is in the form of the whole universe and the universe appears as whole waking or dream.   Only when one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’,   and then only it is possible to unfold the mystery of the mind or the universe.

Remember:~

Thinker, thoughts and the world in which thinker exists is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self, which is hidden by ignorance.  Those who think by insuring to whom the thoughts come will not be able to realize the ‘Self’ because they are thinking the ‘Self is within their body. The ‘Self’ is not within the body but it is hidden by the dualistic illusion (world).

Thoughts and thinker and the world the thinker exists belongs to the dualistic illusion. Without the form, time and space the thoughts will not form. Thoughts come to the thinker. The thinker is an individual whereas the ‘Self is not an individual. The source of the thoughts is the ego. Without the ego, the thoughts will not rise. Thoughts and thinker and the world the thinker exists is nothing to do with the Soul, the ‘Self, which is hidden by the dualistic illusion (I).

You are the thinker.  The thoughts come to you.  You are bound by the form, time and space whereas the Soul the innermost Self is formless, timeless and spaceless existence.  The thoughts will not raise in the domain of the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ because it is the ever formless, timeless and spaceless existence.

The thoughts come to the thinker within the dualistic illusion.  Without the illusion the thinker, thoughts and the world in which the thinker exists cease to exists.

Therefore, just by finding out to whom the thoughts come? Who is the knower? it is impossible to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time and space. Perfect understanding of ‘what is what' is what is very much necessary to cross the threshold of the dualistic illusion.  : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Without getting rid of ignorance truth realization or self-realization is impossibility.*****

Even though the self is something other than this waking entity (ego), the majority of people still identify themselves with it.  The main reason people identify the Self with the waking entity (ego) is their ignorance of the Soul, the real Self.

Whosoever identifies his- self with this bundle of bones and flesh are caught up in the grip of duality. Now the question arises: If self is not this waking entity, then what is that self? The real self is not the waking entity but the formless soul, which witnesses the waking entity and waking world together.

The scriptures declare that self is the soul, the innermost self. The soul is present in the form of consciousness or Spirit —the three states are mere a mirage created out of the consciousness.  That's all.

The three states are is temporary, while the soul, the innermost Self is immortal, Therefore, this  waking entity and waking experience is  false (impermanent), and the Soul, the Self is True (permanent).

The ultimate goal of human existence is to become re-established in reality of his true existence through Self-realization.  Self-knowledge of Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana makes one realize the form, time and space are one in essence. That essence is the soul or consciousness.  Realizing the essence, which the soul or consciousness leads one to nondual Self- Awareness.  In Self-awareness, there is only oneness in the midst of duality.

The essence of scriptures: - Dehum- Nahum-Kohum –Sohum – which indicates the body is not the self – the self is that. Which clearly indicates the self is without the body. Therefore, the self is the formless knower of the body and the world. Without the body and the world, the Self is free from birth life and death. Therefore, karma theory, which is based on the idea of birth, life, death, and rebirth, is a mere religious fable

Karma is a universal principle only on the base of waking entity. the waking entity is the false self (ego], within the illusion (waking). The cause and effect is a reality, only on the base of the false self. The fact is Atman or the Soul is the Self. soul or Atman is present in the form of consciousness.  Atman or soul is the cause of everything and it itself is uncaused.

Buddhism says, there is nothing - a nonentity. Advaita says there is some reality, even though things are not what they appear to be.

If one knows the ultimate truth, he will know there is neither cause nor effect. Advaita is to know, what is it, that is Real, and base the reasoning on that real.

When reasoning is done on the true base, one has the yardstick to know what is the truth, and what is the untruth, and he will be able to reject the unreal or untruth mentally. Therefore, one has to make sure whether the true self is waking entity(ego) or Self is the  Soul which is present in the form of consciousness.

If one accepts the self as waking entity, then the karma becomes a universal principle. If one accepts the soul or consciousness as self, then the physical body, ego, world and whatever one has seen,  known and believed and experienced as a person becomes unreal, on the standpoint of the Soul, the Self.

By accepting karma theory, one is accepting the unreal as real and permanently remains in the clutches of duality thinking the cycle of birth, life, and death as a reality. Therefore, to overcome the illusory experience of the cycle of birth, life, and death, one has to know the fact that, the form, time and space are one in essence.  that essence is consciousness. the consciousness is real and all else is merely an illusion(universe).

Thus the self is within the mind (universe) but it is without the mind (universe). Thus the self is within the ‘I’ but it is without the ‘I’.

Thus karma theory is a hindrance in the path of truth because one accepts the false self as real self and false experience as a real experience and he thinks all his action will yield fruits. Thus he will remain permanently in the realm of unreality or ignorance. Without getting rid of ignorance truth realization or self-realization is an impossibility.:~Santthosh Kumaar

DEMISE OF WESTERN DEVOTEES

THE DEMISE OF WESTERN DEVOTEES

I had to be away from the Ashram for nearly two months and when I returned I saw Sri Cohen in a much worse condition and confined to a wheel-chair. His talk was no longer coherent: “See, Ganesan, I am maimed. Yet, the management has suddenly shifted me to a room on the seventh floor and there is no water there. What can I do?” — “They say they have given me an exclusive room for myself, but see, in the night nearly 12 people sleep here, squatting around me.” — “Don’t think there is only one Kannan (servant), there are nine Kannans, all looking alike!”

I cried on seeing his pathetic condition and told Him: “Mr. Cohen! You are the most intelligent sadhak I have met. Why are you talking so incoherently?” He then adjusted himself and squarely looked at my face and said: “When the body becomes old, you lose control over it. And so over the mind also. But you are not the body and you are not the mind! So, don’t give any importance to how the body or the mind behaves. They are not ‘me’.” I was astounded when he said that since just a few minutes back he was talking sheer nonsense! Then, I asked him “If you are not the mind nor the body, who is speaking to me? Who are you? In which state are you, now?”

“I am pure spirit, witnessing what takes place through the body and mind. I have nothing to do with them. I am in the presence of my Master: Guru Ramana, enjoying His benign and blissful presence! I am pure ananda!” As he uttered these words I saw a different Mr. Cohen, the one we had known for years with all his brightness and serenity.
After some time, he again started talking incoherently. It was a great revelation, a clinical laboratory demonstration of the fact ‘I-am-not-the-body-mind’!

While Mr. Cohen thus saw the light in the midst of darkness, Mr. Chadwick saw life in the face of death. Major Chadwick was admitted in the C.M.C. Hospital in Vellore. His tongue had swollen so much that it filled the entire mouth, preventing him from even making noises. The doctors put questions to him and he could not reply. His end was nearing. A few devotees from the Ashram went to Vellore to see him and comfort him. Surprisingly, Sri Chadwick, started speaking to them: “Today is Easter!” he said. When it was pointed out to him that Easter was a few days hence, he clearly answered them, in his usual loud, clear voice: “Yes! I know. But, for me, today is Easter!”

Yes! That was the day of resurrection for this Ramana bhakta. Who spoke those words but the Spirit within?
When Mr. Arthur Osborne was in Bangalore and the end near, he could not speak at all. As a ritual farewell Mrs. Lucia Osborne went round (clock-wise) the prostrate body of her beloved husband. Suddenly, she heard distinctly in her husband’s voice: “Thank you!”. Who spoke those words if not His Self?
Spiritual being beyond name and form, mind and body, is our real nature, affirms Victorious Ramana, Conquerer of Death.

Anything seen, observed, cannot be the Self or the Witness.

People think that, more they think, the more they will get; but it is really an error. It remains only a thought and gives them back only thoughts. Anything seen, observed, cannot be the Self or the Witness. Consciousness (soul) is the substance and the witness of the duality. The duality is present in the form of mind. The Mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and diapers as deep sleep. The one which is aware of the coming and going of the three states is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the formless soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. When the soul becomes aware of its formless non-dual true nature in the midst of duality it is called self –awareness. It is foolish to limit the consciousness only to duality because the consciousness pervades all the three states. Consciousness is the shoreless Non-dual Ocean. Consciousness is beyond form, time and space. Consciousness is beyond instinct, intellect, imagination and inspiration. It is unconscious of its true nature when it is in illusion. Only beyond illusion it is in its true nature.--FORMLESS PATH

Sage Sri, Sankara as a rationalist philosopher, in contrast to the more traditional image of him as a theologian: (Sage Sri, Sankara’s system of Advaita) is not even a philosopher dish cooked to suit exclusively the palate of the Hindu.

Sage Sri, Sankara as a rationalist philosopher, in contrast to the more traditional image of him as a theologian: (Sage Sri, Sankara’s system of Advaita) is not even a philosopher dish cooked to suit exclusively the palate of the Hindu. It is like the air and the water, the common food of all men in all countries. It is ... an attempt ... at constructing a "Science of Truth," nay, in fact, it is the only attempt yet made at such a science. If rightly interpreted Sage Sankara’s teaching as food for all humanity, the universal teaching par excellence; it is not just a religion, but the religion; not a philosophy, but the philosophy; not a science, but the Science of Truth; not a soteriology, but the path to spiritual liberation par excellence, wide and deep as the ocean which contains virtually all the water of the world and in which all particular forms ultimately dissolve.--FORMLESS PATH

Non-dualistic Love is not physical.

Non-dualistic Love is not physical. Love is not duality. Where love remains as love without the second it is universal. Love is the cause of everything that exists and it itself is uncaused. Identifying the love as physical creates the division within the love. Identifying the love as innermost self brings unity in diversity. Thus love is the nature of the self. There is no scope for form, time and space in the realm of love. The real love is formless, spaceless and timeless. The formless, timeless spaceless love is God or Brahman or Christ or Buddha. Thus love thyself. –FORMLESS PATH

A Gnani sees only unity in diversity, just like a goldsmith estimating the gold in various items of jewelery sees only gold.

A Gnani sees only unity in diversity, just like a goldsmith estimating the gold in various items of jewelery sees only gold. When one identifies the self with the form then only the form, time and space are present. But when one transcend form, time and space the duality never remain as reality --FORMLESS PATH

The past present and future belongs to the form, time and space.

The past present and future belongs to the form, time and space. Without the form, time and space there is no past present and future. The form, time and space are present only when the ‘I’ is present. ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present. Mind is present only when the universe is present. Universe is present only when there is waking experience. In self-awareness ~the form, time and space are one in essence. That essence is soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. In self-awareness the soul, the innermost self is free from experiencing the duality as reality in the midst of duality. --FORMLESS PATH

The one who thinks himself as guru and the one who thinks himself as chela (disciple) will not be able to acquire Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.+*****

The Self cannot be realized by following some Guru,  the study of the scriptures or by intelligence, nor by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained reason. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form.

Some modern Gurus talk of surrendering to the Self without knowing what Self supposed to be in actuality.

Just by saying open your heart and surrender nothing happens. Playing with the words and playing with the emotions leads only to hallucination.

The Guru who pretends to be Self- realized and plays with the emotions and sentiments of the seeker is a fraud, not a Gnani.

Only perfect understanding of what is what’ leads to truth realization. The truth -realization is Self-realization. Self-realization is God-realization.

If you are seeking truth nothing but the truth then you must not get stuck to any Guru or yogi. Those who are seeking truth need not follow any Guru or any teaching.

Yoga Vasistha says: ~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.

There is no need to condemn Gurus, but there is a need to highlight how they become an obstacle in realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Swami Vivekananda said: ~   “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”

The Guru is useless so long as the ultimate truth is unknown, and Guru is equally useless when the ultimate truth or Brahman has already been known.

A Guru is needed in religious and the yogic path.  There is no need for a Guru to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The one who thinks himself as Guru and the one who thinks himself as chela (disciple) will not be able to get Self-Knowledge because both accepted themselves as the body. And all their understanding, practices, knowledge are based on the false self.  Therefore, the Guru –Shisya concept is a great obstacle in the pursuit of truth.

Gnani never accepted himself as a guru or accepts anyone as his disciple because he is fully aware he, his body and the world in which he exists are merely an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. There was no division in his consciousness even though he is in the midst of division or duality.

Thus, by surrendering to any Guru or Godmen is not the means to Self-knowledge.  The Soul, the Self is the true Guru.

Remember:~

By visiting the Ashram, ignorance will not vanish. By glorifying the Guru or surrendering to the Guru you will not get Advaitic Gnana. All religious and yogic paths meant for the ignorant crowd, not for those who are searching the truth of their true existence.

People think,  by blind devotion and unquestioning obedience to Guru and by surrendering to Guru they get enlightenment.

They lose the independent thinking power, time, effort and their hard-earned savings in the hope of realizing God. People are emotionally vulnerable and “brainwashed and psychologically seduced,” by the myth propagated by religion and yoga.

The seeker of truth must be “too smart” to ever fall into the trap of religious propagated myth.
The so-called enlightened Gurus who promise instant enlightenment for money are not Gnanis. The seeker of truth has to be very careful if he is seeking truth nothing but the truth.
Everyone pursuing or thinking of pursuing the path of wisdom need not fall into the trap of physical Guru. Devotion to physical Guru is the devotional path not the path of wisdom. Religious people follow the path of Bhakti and yogic path. The path of wisdom is only for those who are serious in their quest of truth. Without an intense urge, it is difficult to tread the path of wisdom.
So many scandals of the fake Gurus are exposed in recent times. The darker side of modern Gurudom of fake Gurus and yogis so embarrassing~ sometimes vicious or criminal~ reports which they prefer to hide.
If one is seeking the truth, nothing but the truth, then he has to keep in mind, the truth cannot be bought in the spiritual supermarket.

Remember:~

There is no need to walk in the mountains in search of the truth. There is no need to meet any Gurus. There is no need to renounce family life. There is no need to study the scriptures. There is no need for glorifying the Gurus. There is no need to spend the fortune to please the Gurus. Going to the mountains, searching for a Guru, renouncing the family life, studying the scriptures, glorifying the personal Gods and Gurus are the greatest obstacle in the path of wisdom.
One need not be a monk, a sanyasi or swami to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Religious rituals scriptural mastery, are not a qualification to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Monkhood and sanyasa are the greatest obstacles in the truth-realization, which is beyond the form, time and space.
Guru, Swami, Yogi, Sadhu belongs to religious paths. Religious paths are path meant for ignorant who blindly accept their experience the birth, life, death, and the world as a reality because the universe is the product of ignorance.
When wisdom dawns then the unreal nature of the world in which you exist is exposed. Thus, whatever experiences take place within the world in which you exist is bound to be a falsehood.
The Guru, Swami, Yogi, Sadhu, nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman or God because they are based on the false self (ego), and false experience (waking).

The Path of wisdom is only for those who are seriously in search of ultimate truth or Brahman. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana is the knowledge of the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

The seeker's goal is towards Self-knowledge and noting other than it. Therefore, the guru is needed in religious and yogic paths which are meant for the people who are not searching for truth but they are searching for worldly comforts and temporary peace in this physical existence.  They fear to lose their physical identity and all that is connected to the physical identity.

When one realizes the physical identity (ego) is false self and the true identity is the Soul, which is present in the form consciousness, then he realizes that the fear factor is limited to the false self within the false experience(waking. When the self is not physical all the burden and bondage of the duality is a mere mirage created out of consciousness. :~ Santthosh Kumaar

Why worship and glorify the Guru s and Yogis (human form) in place of God when Veda bars such activities.+*****

The seeker has to focus his attention on the self or Atman, which is in the form of consciousness.    Thus glorifying gurus’ form is erroneous, because the body and the universe are a myth on the ultimate standpoint.

Thus, indulging glorifying and worshiping of myth becomes the greatest obstacle in the pursuit of truth.  Thus the seeker has to identify the soul, the innermost self as guru and proceed in his spiritual endeavor.   The inner grace of the inner guru (self) will guide until the ignorance disappears and one realizes the body and the universe are a mere mirage created out of the consciousness, which is the true self.

Religious or yogic gurus propagate that, once a seeker identifies a Guru, he must totally surrender to the Guru and then from there onwards, the spiritual journey is fully the Guru's responsibility, not his... Hence the importance of choosing the right Guru is necessary, but in pursuit of truth, the guru is not necessary, because the truth is not theoretical.  Truth has to be ascertained by the seeker on his own through a well-directed inquiry, analysis, and reasoning based on the true self, which will lead the seeker to his destination.

People who worship the Guru as God in human form and there is a danger that they might establish a regular religious sect in his name.  This is an unhappy development of the religious movement.  All these Guru based paths are not meant for those who are searching ultimate truth or Brahman nothing but Brahman. the path of Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is nothing to do with physical Guru.

Hindu religious literature is full of such aphorisms as ' there is no higher deity than the Guru; the Guru is the ultimate Truth and Deity. God and  Avatars (incarnations) are secondary to the Guru in importance; there is no higher refuge, no higher target, no higher destination than the Guru; the Guru is God Himself; God and the Guru are one; he who makes a  distinction between the Guru and God is ignorant and stupid; and scores of similar others. They abound both in Sanskrit and in modern Indian languages.

People born in different sect and they remain as its follower. Most of the sect is founded by some gurus, thus the Indian belief system is a Guru Cult, i.e. believes in the worship of the Guru as the Supreme Deity.

When a seeker could not get full enlightenment from his inherited belief system, then only he searches elsewhere. And tries to get enlightened himself further to clear the cobwebs of his understanding and seeks guidance to his progress.

The path of religion, the path of yoga and the path of wisdom were intended for different classes of people. The wisdom is for the advanced seekers of truth. It deals with the nature of the ultimate Truth and Reality. It is meant for superior aspirants who have an inner urge to know the truth and it is not for those who are immersed in earthly desires.

Remember:~

Human worship is barred in Sanatana Dharma or Vedic religion. Ancient Sanatana Dharma or Vedic religion is nothing to with Hinduism. Hinduism is a Group of caste founded by the different founders of the castes with non-Vedic beliefs, personal Gods and rituals and practices and scriptures and code of conduct.

If you are worshipping the human being as God you are worshiping ignorance as God. If you are seeking truth nothing but the truth you must restrain all such activates which blocks your realization of the ultimate truth or Brahman or God.

On the Vedic perspective: Those humans who get worshipped as God are nothing but frauds, because, Rig Veda: ~ May ye never turn away from the Atman the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Vedas bars human worship: ~
"They are enveloped in darkness, in other words, are steeped in ignorance and sunk in the greatest depths of misery who worship the uncreated, eternal prakrti -- the material cause of the world -- in place of the All-pervading God, But those who worship visible things born of the prakrti, such as the earth, trees, bodies (human and the like) in place of God, are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow, and suffer terribly for a long time.":~ (Yajur Veda 40:9.)

Then why worship and glorify the Guru s and Yogis (human form) in place of God when Veda bars such activities and it also warns people who indulge in such activities are enveloped in still greater darkness, in other words, they are extremely foolish, fall into an awful hell of pain and sorrow and suffer terribly for a long time.

No one has ever seen God by practicing religion or yoga or indulging in glorifying the religious God and Goddesses because God exists prior to the form, time and space. The form, time and space cease to exist as a reality when wisdom dawns. Thus, the Gods and Guru s have no place in the domain of the Advaitic reality. Advaita is the nature of the Soul, which is the real God. Thus, Self-realization is the only way to God-realization.
By worshipping the religious Gods and Guru s one will not get Self-realization or God-realization.

The Soul, the inner Guru revels ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
