All our personal experiences are merely happening within the illusion is a reality within the illusion.+

All our personal experiences are merely happening within the illusion is a reality within the illusion.

The world is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

Remember:~

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the world, observed and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same world. Each one interprets the world that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, experiences the birth, life, death and the world as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees everything as the consciousness and he is fully aware that, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul or consciousness.

Thus, all the egocentric knowledge has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is beyond form, time and space.

The world in which we exist is nothing but an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Sage  Sankara: ~People who have immersed in ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman.

When this universe, which is merely an illusion then why you are sticking to it. One without Self-knowledge does not obtain liberation from the illusory even if he lives for a million years.

The Self is not you but the Self is the Soul hidden by the universe. The universe is the dualistic illusion or Maya. You are part and parcel of the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The universe, which appears and disappears, is the only form and shape created out of consciousness and nothing else.

Sage Sankara: ~ “VC~ All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms is nothing else but Brahman (Consciousness) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of Maya.

The universe is the product of ignorance. Ignorance is present in the form of the ‘I’.

Sage Sankara says:~ VC-47- All the effects of ignorance, root, and branches are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the non-Self.

Until you think you are an individual separate from the world and the world existed prior to you and you are born in it afterward ignorance will prevail as a reality. Till ignorance is there the universe prevails as reality.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation.

Remember:~

Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-awareness. By holding onto theories one remains in the realm of duality. You have to mentally go on dropping what is not the truth through deeper Self-search.

Finally, when you become aware of the fact that, your ego, your body, and the world are nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness.

Consciousness alone is positive proof and on the standpoint of consciousness or Soul as the 'Self', one becomes aware of the falsity of this universe or mind, which is mere appearance.

The one which appears as the mind (universe) and disappears as no mind (Soul) is consciousness alone. Therefore, the mind and Soul are one in essence. Without consciousness, which is the Self, the universe ceases to exist.

The mental analysis shows that, the existence of the formless witness, which witnesses the three states coming and going without a break. This, on closer analysis, is found to be that changeless, Soul or consciousness itself.

The seeker has to focus his attention only on the three states. The mind, which appears as waking or dream is duality and deep sleep is nonduality. Therefore, we have to find out: ~ what is it that becomes duality (waking or dream) and nonduality (deep sleep).

The individual experience happening within the waking and dream is nothing to do with consciousness, which is the Self.

Identifying consciousness as the Self is necessary to realize the unreal nature of the mind.

The mind cannot be destroyed, but when one overcomes ignorance through wisdom than he realizes his body, his ego and his experience of the world to be consciousness.

Sage Sankara and Maya or illusion:~

The King of the Hoysalas was a Vaishnavite and was greatly incensed at the doctrine taught by  Advaitic Sage that everything here below is an illusion. He wanted to teach the exponent of this doctrine a lesson. So he invited the then Advaitic Sage to his palace. That holy man went there and stoutly maintained that everything in this world was an illusion. The king had arranged to let loose an infuriated elephant against AdvaitIC Sage. The beast rushed at Advaitic Sage who took to a precipitate flight to save himself.

'Oh, Venerable Sir,' shouted the king, 'why do you run so fast seeing that the elephant is only an illusion?'

'Oh, king,' said  Advaitic Sage in the course of his flight, 'my running too is an illusion. Everything in this world is an illusion.’

Remember:~

Similarly, the experiencing birth, life, death and the world (waking) are within the illusion.  Due to ignorance, the illusion is experienced as a reality. The illusion is present in the form of ‘I’ or mind.

The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream and disappears as deep sleep.   The three states are one in essence and that essence is consciousness. Consciousness (Soul) is the  Self. From the standpoint of the Soul, the  Self, the three states are illusory.

Thus experiencing the birth, life, death, and the world within the illusion (waking or universe) with the illusory Self (waking entity or ego), within the illusory experience (waking), has to be an illusion.

The illusion is created and sustained and finally dissolves as consciousness, which is the Self.  Since there is no second thing other than consciousness (Soul);  consciousness itself is the ultimate truth or Brahman.

The one who has realized this truth for him this illusion is passing show because he is fully aware of the fact that his body, his ego and his experience of the world to be consciousness.

Practical people's approach is more practical, and they are stuck with the reality of the practical life within the practical world, they take it as real whereas Gnani sees his body his ego and his experience of the world as consciousness.  ~Santthosh Kumaar
